Tendonitis | Ankle Sprain | Plantar Fasciitis Treatment San Diego
I have two fractured toes, and I got an aircast yesterday . It was very comfortable when the doctor put it on. Now that I have put it on its pressure on my toes from the boot. I adjusted the straps.Still had a little pressure on my toe when walking. Any suggestions on how to get the boot back to feeling comfortable.
Yup wearing mine wrong on the top part. Question is how tight should the toe part be?
I HAVE THAT ONE
Injured my tailbone the very first day during rough currents and unpredictable waves and continued to have to surf during my vacation with the pain. Constant pain which increasing if I try to run or lie on it or sit too long. After two weeks, there's still a large bump (not broken) but no one will order soft tissue images and anti-inflammatories do nothing for the pain. I'd like to run again. Anyone with similar injury? How long to heal?
When I’m lieing down with the boot on do I need to deflate?
Dr. Jain ROCKS!!!
May i put it without front part? It seems steel good? What is importance of front part?

My foot is so swollen I can’t get it on easily and the straps come off… what do I do?
You look familiar…did you play a Borg Baby on Star Trek?
Are you two deflate when walking on the boot
I have the longer one and think maybe I should have had the shortie instead for an ankle sprain. I DO have a comment about sitting on the rolling chair when putting the boot on. That's possibly dangerous because the chair can roll out from under you when trying to stand up.
From where to buy it any link website is there very urgently plus help
Thank you. This was extremely helpful

Good luck with long wearing. So closed the leg so tightly tak blood stops flowing. Than you.

Thanks for your comment Jay! We appreciate it!
I just saw the opposite lift shift on Amazon to account for difference in height - could u do a video about it and cane and walking thx
Great video gave my boot told me nothing and I started looking today for video cause I wash it every day on bottom and wondering why it was all wet inside
Thank you so much I didn’t know how to deflate it and I couldn’t get my foot back in
I’ve used this a bit in the past with good results but I have a question. I have arthritis in my hips, doc says no surgery yet. I got a cortisone shot that helped for about 3-4 weeks. If I cuff the top of my quads like in this video and do leg extensions will my hips also get the benefits of being flooded with blood flow?
Mark -we appreciate your question. Please call our Physical Therapy office during business hours and they can provide you with complete details. (858) 450-7118
As I also have hip arthritis I posed your question to Chat GPT. Here is it's answer: BFR training primarily affects the muscles downstream of the cuff, meaning the quads, hamstrings, and calves will directly benefit when you cuff the top of your thighs. The increased blood flow and metabolic stress in these muscles indirectly affect the joints they support, including the hips, but the impact on the hip joint itself is more limited. How BFR Could Help Hip Arthritis: Indirect Joint Benefits: Strengthening the muscles around the hips (e.g., quads and glutes) can stabilize the joint, reduce strain, and potentially improve arthritis symptoms. Increased Systemic Circulation: BFR can enhance systemic blood flow and release growth factors, which might provide minor indirect benefits to cartilage and surrounding tissues. Pain Reduction: BFR often allows for strengthening without the joint stress caused by heavier loads, which can be helpful for arthritic joints. Why Your Hips Might Not Fully "Flood": Since the cuff restricts blood flow above it, the hips won’t experience the same concentrated metabolic and circulatory effects as the muscles below the cuff. However, performing leg extensions, squats, or other exercises that engage the hips will still strengthen the muscles supporting the joint. Recommendations for Hip Arthritis with BFR: Focus on Functional Movements: Include exercises like BFR-assisted squats or step-ups to engage the hip joint more directly while benefiting from lighter loads. Combine with Joint-Friendly Activities: Consider adding water exercises or stretching to support hip mobility and reduce stiffness. Monitor Pain Levels: Avoid exercises that exacerbate pain. BFR can amplify sensations, so use caution to ensure it remains a safe tool for your arthritis management.
@@not_name7421 Thank you for your response. I've since had a hip replacement to my right side, which helped with pain, a lot. This is the same side I had a knee replacement at the end of 2019. Two years after my knee replacement I had lots of pain but the doctor couldn't figure out why it was happening. Short story is about 6 - 8 months ago I got off my butt and started doing resistance band workouts and lots of bodyweight squats. This has been so good for my knee and hip. Now I need to keep my other hip healthy. I've had too many surgeries and just need to stay healthy. I do appreciate your response very much. Mark
Thank you just got mine..And needed a refresher course!
The urgent care PA put it on me INCORRECTLY. thank you so much for this!!!
Mine also did so this really helped

I’m having surgery next month and after seeing this video I’m requesting general anesthesia because I’m scared of sedation
How did it go? Did you go under and was the surgery painful?
Do I remove the splint the dr put on or leave it ob
Thank you soon much for this video! I am going to have surgery sometime next month. My surgeon indicated that he was going to use the "Pins" and because I had NO information on possible procedures I agreed...now I'm going to request this procedure! Thank you again!
We're so glad you found the video helpful! Thanks for visiting our UA-cam channel and leaving your comment!
How can I get one
Any contraindications with using this approach on older adults?
Hi Toan. BFR is great for the elderly (I'm 71) because it stimulates the same cascade of HGH, NO, VEGF, BDNF, etc. that comes from HIT exercise, but at 1/5 the weight and 1/3 the time. Even if someone my age could do 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps of a series of exercises at 85% of their 1RM without hurting themselves, most won't because it's too difficult. Message me if you want more info. I am a certified B3 Sciences BFR Coach.

Can't wait to get my fibre glass cast off being able to get around without bruised armpits be nice
T-T i shattered my heel so i just got shifted into the boot and am still advised not to walk on it for a minimum 7 weeks.
I have a broken foot and got a knee rover bc I couldn’t handle crutches. Total life saver. They’re available on Amazon or local medical supply companies.
If your armpits are bruised you are using crutches wrong. I am on crutches right now and the doctor specifically told me that if you push with your underarms you can pinch nerves and do damage. You’re supposed to use your forearms to push off and hold yourself above the crutch. I’ve been on mine for 6-7 weeks now and no bruising or pain.
Move the hand grips up. You should be taking the weight on your hands, not your arm pits.
I am using one, right now for my ankle fracture...it's the best...
@@DavidWolfeSanDiego thank you... I will... I'm from India.... Take care
So helpful....thank you!!!!!
I will be removing my hard plaster on 13th January 2021 7 weeks after my surgery..for how long should I use the moon boots before I can really walk freely
Argh neither one of my specialists told me anything about optimal wearing. Damn.
Yup same with mine. Was like being on a production line.
Same here, this is vital information that should be shared with a patient
Is there a right and left boot for the taller model? The flaps fold so the end of inside one is against my big toe and is hurting it.
how do you deflate the cell?
you hold down the small screw-looking button down to the left of the big pump button
Amethysteon oh okay thank you
Thank you so much. I had the tabs on the tongue part at the ankle on the inside. Then I watched your video, and put the upper tabs on the outside of the plastic boot and the tabs of the tongue on the inside of plastic boot on the foot part. Feels better now.
Can we use this for achilles rupture?
