Hello. Sometimes. I document sporting activities, achievements and hobbies here
650B STILL CARRIES SPEED
as far as pure and simple speed goes, down a section of hill. I've not been able to find any real difference between dual 29, mullet or 27.5 mtb wheel sizes. One combination might need less initial force to accelerate. While the other, after initial acceleration might pick up harder, once that extra mass builds momentum.. but terminal velocity seems pretty much the same for all.
Intense M16 (27.5) - 50mph
Intense Carbine (29) - 49mph
Commencal Meta (29) - 48mph
Transition Sentinel (29) - 45mph
Transition TR11 (yet to be tested fully)
These speeds are taken from a gopro hero7black with the gps function so may not be entirely accurate but would love to rig a speed trap up there someday :)

DIRT FARM - TURNS WERE RUNNING SWEET
A rider who could still win a race with slower machinery through pure cock-and-balls courage and skill. A rider with 30hp less in todays racing would struggle to even make the points
Look who's making a comeback 👊🏼
😜😂🍻
Great vid. Is the stock bottom bracket a square taper?
Yes it is. Swapped it out for a threaded one (shimano xt)
@ sweet thanks for the reply. I just ordered the rigid version and am doing a street trials type build.
@@108HawkeThat sounds interesting! and very welcome. Thanks
Hey, did you have to use adapters for the rear wheels? Thanks! Sweet bike!
No I didn't. Halo have a wide range of options and it's been a very reliable wheel. Thanks
shwantz and that suzuki were always the under dog. But kevin made that bike his passion to beat the honda/and yamaha and he succeded. my all time hero.
Did you change the BB ?
Yes for a threaded one instead of the stock square taper

I just went there today
amazing selections! what track was that at the 7 minute mark, sounds like a remix to Orbital & Halcyon - on & on, solid mix!
I think it was a remix by Tom Middleton of that track. Thank you!
@@dazmos_65 fire bro!
@ivisraudales805 🤘🤘
The very pinnacle of race bike exotica that HRC could create at that time. In the same year at the 1991 Isle of Man TT races Hislop and Fogarty rode 2 of these factory specials at a blistering race speed.....they carried the Silkolene lubricants logo on the fairings at the TT.
Absolutely fearless....
Winter's coming!!
time for the neck warmer's!!
@@dazmos_65 haha yeh!! Hope I can find time to get out over this winter too.
free? i absolutely dont agree with this
Fair enough!

Sega Manx TT superbike!
Haha 😆 👍 was playing that other day!
God i feel old now 😂😂
No electronic helps, just hands, talent and skills. Better times.
Real motorcycle racing.
👍🔥🔥
What tool did you use to remove the BB?
Trails are great there hey,👍
Definitely! Great place
I don't get it, in every tutorial and even in RockShox Manual, they say 180ml 5wt. but I don't need even to put 150ml in and it already overfill. I have a Yari Compression 2022 :/

Great build! What kind of sprocket did you use for the Shimano Saint and where did you buy it?
I used a raceface 104BCD 32T front chainring with the saint cranks. It came fitted with a used set I got online but you should be able to still get them. Thanks!
@@dazmos_65 Thank you! Much appreciated!
@49k2r3 no problem mate 👍
He was a true Showman in every sense of the word👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Sir, can I fit a 2.5 rear tire?, looks like the frame have enough tire clearance for 62mm tires. Thanks.
The widest I have tried is a 2.3”. I don’t think there is enough clearance to run a 2.5”
@@dazmos_65 thanks for Your reply Sir.

Great video. Class bike wash as well 🤙🏻
Thanks mate 😂🤙
I visit van road all the time for the jumps and pump track and never knew these trails exsited! Are they easy enough to find🚵
They're pretty easy to find. Go past them until you come to a t-junction further on, then go left. Most of the climb up isn't too bad for a normal mountain bike either (except the open bit)
I know this is an old video, i'am planning to buying m16 same year as yours. Did you feel any benefit of that huge 9.4inch travel at the back, while being on 27.5 wheels. To me this is the selling point, along with VPP suspension. I had santa cruz v10 back in 2014...
The earlier M16s had that longer travel option, that you could adjust by changing the position of the shock. The one I had was fixed at 210mm travel. I found that was more than adequate
That first clip, God, he shifted in the wheelie.
Great weather for it and fair play, you're absolutely flying on your trails, well deserved too. The build looks stunning as well Dar. Great vid 👍
It’s making up for that cruddy weather we had hasn’t it mate! Now we can get stuck in and enjoy. I’m loving it and it’ll be nice to try it on some longer flowy trails soon. Thanks Rich 🍻
I remember seeing KS on a Yamaha FJ600 at Sears Point in the 1980’s. I remember thinking - “ this guy is mental.” He grasped the horns of a wobbly motorcycle and made its his bitch. God bless you.
“Hold it till you see God then brake” Schwantz..

Thanks 😊
Revin Kevin!!
Some pilot! Can get one of these in NX build for £2.5k new - what u reckon is that a good deal? How is it for climbing?
That’s a bargain! I payed about £2k for the frame and shock lol. I didn’t notice any downsides climbing compared to other 29er’s I’ve had. But it’s just so much fun on the descents!!
@@dazmos_65 thanks for the reply. They look really solid frames.
No problem Frank! Good luck with it all 🍻
... no comments... THE GOAT...
Great edit to watch and the bike is amazing.👍
I didn’t think my fingers would recover from the sanding 😭 It was a really fun project! Thanks Rich 🤘
Beautiful mate 👌
Thanks mate 🍻
Bike looking great Dar and hope you get to where you want your grip to be, as soon as. Conditions just slip and slide north Cardiff, looks much better at Smilog
Spending a bit more time on the bike seems to be helping now. A few of the trails are pretty blown out up there but the grip is pretty good. Thanks Rich
Hello darren🤝
Hi👋
2019 - 2023 labomba are recalled in at least North America and Australia. Free Freshy!
It's the same over here in the UK with recall. I'll pin your comment to make more people aware. Thanks! Hopefully some nice freshy colours too
@@dazmos_65Nice! That's good to hear, and reassuring where I'm from Canada but ordered mine from Chain Reaction Cycles.
