    Amazing work! Which program are you using to design the unique board patterns?

    • @stammherz
      @stammherz 3 дні тому

      Thank you! I don’t usually use a program-most of the time, I use pencil and paper to draw the pattern. But if I have more than one idea, I like to compare them to see which looks better. For example, I originally planned a pixelated wave pattern with three different wood tones for this video, but after checking it in the program, it didn’t look as good as I imagined. That’s why I went with this final design. For the comparison, I actually used PowerPoint 😅.

  • @Xanderbelle
    @Xanderbelle 4 дні тому

    Did you make those first clamps yourself ? Can we have a closer look ?

    • @stammherz
      @stammherz 4 дні тому

      @Xanderbelle Yeah, they’re basically just 4-way pressure clamps. That’s the search term you want to use. When I first saw them in another video, I spent a lot of time figuring out what they were called, so hopefully, this saves you the trouble! They’re great because you can apply pressure from the sides while simultaneously preventing the strips from slipping vertically. Super useful for keeping everything in place during glue-ups!

    Awesome! What are the fences you are using at 4:33 and how are they connected?

    • @stammherz
      @stammherz 4 дні тому

      Thanks :). I made it from 4 pieces of aluminum profile 30x90 L B Type Slot 8, and they are connected in 4 places with 90-degree internal brackets to secure the frame and maintain its perpendicularity. This allows it to adjust to any rectangle, depending on the size of the board.

    • @stammherz
      @stammherz 4 дні тому

      That’s a valuable tip because I was also trying to figure out the reason for the burn marks. I thought it might be due to a dull blade or something like that, but I’ll definitely try your advice. Thanks again!
