I started the year by getting involved with MakeoverMonday and in this video, I'll walk through four examples. The intention is to help us recognize problems in the data, walk through my thought process, explore data in Tableau to find insights, discuss design choices, and build some charts in Tableau.

You trellis on a dimension. Can you trellis on [Measure Names]? I tried to build it on my data and couldn't get the table calculations to recognize [Measure Names] in the Specific Dimension option...which kind of blew everything up. Any ideas on how to get that to work? If so, then this could build a trellis of nice KPI Measure tiles. Would be elegant.
You'd have to re-structure your data to have pre-defined "Measure Names" and "Values" columns, sadly. There is no way to use Measure Names in any type of calculation (as of right now - we all hope one day it will be allowed...)
