Foster care in the 70's through the 80's was really messed up, I survived, and I am glad Andrew did too
You're absolutely right-foster care in the 70s and 80s had so many challenges, and the stories of survival from those times are both heartbreaking and inspiring. It takes incredible strength to endure and come out the other side. I’m glad you made it through and that Andrew did too. Sharing these experiences can really help shed light on what needs to change and inspire others who might be struggling.
I'm number 1 Great job guys
🙏❤️🙏
You can choose your friends but you can't choose your coworkers. It's a difficult dichotomy. How do you strike the necessary balance
Navigating relationships with coworkers can be tough because, unlike friends, you don’t get to choose them. Striking a balance requires boundaries. Focus on maintaining professionalism while keeping personal emotions in check. You can build positive working relationships by finding common ground, even if you don’t personally connect with someone. But it’s equally important to protect your peace if a coworker’s behavior becomes toxic, creating emotional distance while maintaining professionalism can help you stay grounded. You can’t control their actions, but you can control your responses and protect your own mental well being.
Right! Definitely. More so about your own control over the way you respond.
@@boosackNooDoe 100% you got it. At the end of the day that's all that we have control over.
I'm just catching up on this podcast now and it's really good, but I have to ask It's easy to bag on people with negative outlooks but is there a way to change the mindset for these people or do we just distance ourselves.
Helping someone with a negative mindset starts with understanding that true change must come from within them. You can offer guidance and compassion, but you can’t carry their burden for them. At some point, protecting your own peace becomes essential. Distancing yourself isn’t abandonment-it’s self-preservation. Sometimes, stepping back allows both you and the other person to reflect and grow. Growth often requires space, and for some, that distance is what pushes them to finally face themselves.
That makes sense thank you!
@@boosackNooDoe Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to us that this episode resonated with you. We aim to create a space where real conversations around men's mental health can happen, and knowing that it made sense for you makes all the effort worthwhile. If you have any personal experiences, stories, or insights you'd like to share, we’d love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out to us anytime at Rawmindspodcast@gmail.com. Your voice could help others who might be going through something similar. Thanks again for your support!
Mental Health issues for men is at catastrophic levels. As a man I suffer from some issues myself, I take SSRIs and recently almost died. This work is very important. I used to sit around and hate on everyone, myself included and I'm trying to no longer feel this way. It takes work. I respect what you are doing.
Thank you so much for sharing that, and I'm really sorry to hear about what you've been through. It's powerful that you're taking steps to work on yourself, and it's not an easy road, especially for men. The stigma around mental health issues makes it tough to speak up, but by reaching out and talking about it, you're helping to break down those walls. SSRIs and the journey they entail can be really challenging, but it's good to hear you're still pushing forward. The work we're doing with the podcast is exactly about making sure men have a place where they can hear real stories and find some comfort in knowing they're not alone in their struggles. I respect your strength, and I'm glad the message resonates with you. Keep going, man-you're doing important work on yourself too, and that’s something to be proud of.
Thanks guys. Needed this one.....
You're welcome! Glad we could help out. If you need anything else, feel free to reach out.

I got off the pills the dr put me on. A bit of shroom/thc edibles was a big help to get off them
And how does it make you feel now that you're off them and using shrooms and thc?
Its been a few years now being off them. Not sure going the pill route was the way to go for me

Much love and Respect.. Jose, thank you for sharing your story. Wish you nothing but love, happiness and success for you and your children. They are worth it and you are worth it. Keep fighting.. Stay strong brother.. 🙏💪❤
I relate with so much of this!) When you said man up, man up. I would here that too. But inside I started the process of actually breaking down. So down. And built a fortress around my heart!!)) Empty, painful. But God!!!))) The consequences are brutal, because of my wrong decisions. Not anyone else’s. The pain never goes away. Never. But I’m thankful and have deep compassion for the hurting, suicidal and crushed in spirit. I personally am thankful again, for this podcast. Be blessed mightily again, to both of you and your kids. 🙏🎚
Dear Listener, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and feelings. Your words genuinely touched us and it's incredibly brave of you to open up about your experiences. The phrase "man up" has been used too often to suppress feelings and emotions, making it harder for individuals to express what they are really going through. We recognize the immense pain and struggle you've endured, and we're sorry to hear about the fortress you've felt you had to build around your heart. Remember, it's okay to feel pain and it's okay to accept past mistakes. They don't define you. They're just a part of your journey. The fact that you're here, listening and reaching out, is a testament to your strength and resilience. We're moved to learn of your compassion for others who are hurting and your understanding of their struggles. This empathy is a gift, and it's a powerful force that can help others feel less alone in their own battles. We're immensely grateful to have listeners like you who are willing to share their personal journeys. Your words remind us why we do what we do, and they inspire us to continue creating content that speaks to the heart of these issues. Thank you once again for your heartfelt message. We hope that this podcast continues to provide some comfort and understanding. Be blessed, stay strong, and remember: it's okay to be vulnerable. It's okay to let the fortress around your heart crack a little. You are not alone. Take care, Erick & Joey
@@RawMinds-cs3ci Thank you for this also. It means so much. 🙏👋🎚
Keep up the great great work!) I pray this channel really gets big. So many men need to open up about serious life issues. God bless both of you and your kids. And God bless everyone else out here. 🙏🎚
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and encouraging words! It means a lot to us to hear that our work is making a positive impact. We wholeheartedly agree that it's important for men to feel comfortable opening up about their life issues, and we're committed to creating a space where these important discussions can take place. Your support and blessings mean a lot to us, and we hope to continue growing and reaching even more people. Thank you, and may God bless you abundantly as well!
Your welcome. The lord sees your hearts. 🙏🎚
