People who question if he loved Brienne or not did NOT pay attention or read the books because huh? This is the truest form of LOVE. Not lust. He felt indebted to Cersei. He loved Brienne. Firstly, we all agree that the writers had to hurry up and tie up the storyline so that the series could end (Martin still hasn’t finished the real story). The writers fucked up BIG time with a LOT of characters and things just didn’t make sense and Jaime contradicted himself along with with other characters. I truly believe he wouldn’t leave her like this.

Devant cette grandeur d'âme que j'en suis pas arrivée ,cette scène me renvoie à mon manque Humilité,ces préjugés de moralité conditionné programmé sociétale.... Est-ce l'amour pure est absence de toute moralité et de ces préjugés dictée par la société dans notre héritage éducationnel transmise ,entre le bien et mal il y a t-il une frontière définie...? Dans certaines civilisation, c'est une pratique courante, afin de préserver son côté Divin digne pour régner...

Brienne brought out the best in Jamie she transformed him from Kingslayer to Jamie to Sir Jamie a knight .. but though Jamie was definitely affectionate towards her.. he could never love her.. and even though Cercei was poison he was drawn towards her.. funny thing this organ - the heart. Even though you know you will be doomed if you follow it you still follow it.. sometimes I feel the heart was created specifically as a cruel joke by the maker to make us all miserable

He never really loved Cersei. Not like you love in the *real* of things. He loved her because she was "there", and he really never knew anything else. But his love for Brienne? That was from an authentic place. D and D screwed us *SO* badly with the ending of their arc.

Beautiful video! And I commend your attempt to reconcile his arc at the end. I think my problem is that I have the character from the book and his journey (plus the basic desire they set up for Jaime in season one, ie. “I need you to become the man you were meant to be”) too firmly ingrained in my mind. To me, he was so much more than Cersei’s pet.

Well I'm still not over it, but this is such a beautiful video. This is probably the most beautiful tribute to the Jaime/Brienne relationship I've seen since the finale. It shows the tragedy of the end, but also the beauty that Brienne carries with her all that they shared together. It makes Brienne seem like part of Jaime's legacy. I love the "you gave all you had" line in reference to Jaime's brief time with Brienne in the end. Had we had a full season (or three) in the end, I think we would have had more time and more development before he left, but I love this video. It is very comforting and worthy of the characters - particularly Jaime's character. He truly loved Brienne. The montage you edited together after "I am home," and your beautiful use of Tyrion's declaration that Jaime is happy with Brienne probably make this my favorite post season 8 video about this couple. Fantastic video. Thank you for honoring them so beautifully with the story that was told. I wish the show had felt the way your video does, but I think it is there between the lines, in the performances.
