I saw something a few years ago about the central coast massacre about malcom son giving his girlfriend drugs and was sleeping with her i think..... Donno where the heck i found that info but will update with a link.
That would be great if you could! Such a wild story
You wouldn't have a clue what your talking about.. Dave was my best mate, delete this stupid comment.
This is correct. There is a video I've watched about the cop who was on the scene in wyong who wrote a book about it.
True crime Australia. Australia's forgotten massacre is the video
He also died in prison July this year.
The nick nack man,I was in jail at Cessnock with him.
Really? What was he like?
@@stupidbsaywhat he was very old and gone mad he got released and sat out the front of the jail until they took him back in and the government rented a cell for him until he died
@bobbomcturd1977 what?? You're a fool, he has never been released, your little story is all bullshit..
Considering your comments regarding Ned Kelly being a hero, I suppose you would consider the three felons that murdered two police officers in Qld yesterday, hero's too?
No Sam - don't be silly.
What a load of nonsense you have presented. 1. John (Red) Kelly was fined £25. He may have gone to gaol in default of payment, but there is no record of Red Kelly ever being in a gaol in Victoria. 2. There is no evidence that George King was ever involved in stealing horses. The only mention was made by Ned Kelly, who was a liar. 3. Constable Fitzpatrick behaved properly at the Kelly home when he went there to arrest Dan Kelly on a warrant for horse stealing. After Ned Kelly was captured, he admitted to shooting the officer, and he also confirmed that the officer made no improper approach to Kate Kelly. 4. The bounty was only raised after the Kelly gang committed murders and robberies. The Kelly gang was not formed until after the police murders at Stringybark Creek. 5. Your suggestion that Ned Kelly was a Robin Hood type is not true. Even after robbing the banks, his mother and sisters continued to live in poverty. Ned Kelly gave nothing to poor settlers, but he robbed them when ever he could of their only work horses, effectively sending them potentially bankrupt. 6. You made little mention of the vicious murders Ned Kelly committed at Stringybark Creek. He gunned down both Constables Lonigan and Scanlan without either of those officers having a chance to surrender or defend themselves. He chased Sgt Kennedy for 800 yards through the bush before wounding him, and speaking to him for some time, before murdering him in the most heinous manner. Kennedy pleaded for his life, telling Kelly that his wife was pregnant, and he had 5 small children, all under 10 years of age. Kelly then took a 12 gauge shotgun and at point-blank range murdered the officer. Kelly claimed it was a mercy killing, but the doctor said that when the fatal shot was received, Kennedy was standing upright, and was not severely wounded as Kelly claimed. It was a cold-blooded, callous murder. Note too, that all those police officers were IRISH. 7. At Glenrowan the police did not surround the building. As the police approached the front of the hotel at 3.15 am, when about 16 yards from the hotel, Ned Kelly opened fire on the police, wounding Supt Hare in the wrist. Police returned fire and wounded Ned Kelly in his left arm twice, and a bullet also entered his right foot. He withdrew into the hotel and walked immediately out the back door for 150 yards and lay down behind a fallen log and remained there until 7am when he rose and approached the police from behind. Sgt Steele fired his shotgun at his legs and brought him down, and he was captured. 8. Joe Byrne was hit by a stray bullet at about 5am and killed. 9. You both consistently claim that Kelly was fighting corrupt police and government. Your comments are based on fictitious nonsense. In the Royal Commission into Victoria police in 1881, the commissioners, who were almost all anti-police, found no corruption or improper behaviour towards the Kelly's. Here is what they said. “ It may also be mentioned that the charge of persecution of the family by the members of the police force has been frequently urged in extenuation of the crimes of the outlaws; but, after careful examination, your Commissioners have arrived at the conclusion that the police, in their dealings with the Kelly’s and their relations, were simply desirous of discharging their duty conscientiously; and that no evidence has been adduced to support the allegation that either the outlaws or their friends were subjected to persecution or unnecessary annoyance at the hands of the police.” 10. I also point out that in 1860 the Victorian government enacted The Lands Act that removed squatters from their taken land and allocated it to poor settlers on excellent terms. There were some difficulties with the legislation, but by 1869 the matter was settled in favour of the settlers. Note that this was well before Kelly's reign of terror across Victoria and southern NSW. 11. You claim that the petition to stop the hanging contained 30,000 signatures. That document is still in possession of Records Victoria, and there are no more than 12,400 signatures on that document, with pages and pages in the same hand-writing. Professional historians suggest the real figure is about 3-4,000. 12. Of 14,500 people living in NE Victoria, only about 250 were Kelly sympathisers. 13. There is no evidence anywhere that Kelly gave to the poor, and that includes his family, or stood up to corrupt government and police. That is made up fiction, that sadly you have read and falsely believe. 14. What did the population feel when the Kelly gang was finally captured. “The destruction of the Kelly gang is a great blessing. It has spread throughout the country a sense of relief hardly expressible in words. Had society been ridded of a horde of hyenas, wolves, and tigers, thirsting for human blood, the joy would scarcely have been greater than that felt at the hunting down of this band of unmitigated ruffians and murderers. For two years has the country, infested by those men, been living in a state of terror and panic, subject at every and any minute to their depreciations, cruelties, and. crimes. … if, in the late sanguinary encounter, where children were actually exposed by them to the shots of the besiegers; no women fell victims to their murderous deeds, it is because the circumstances of the case did not require their sacrifice. The wicked design of wrecking the train sent to convey men to protect the citizens from harm, shown the diabolical pleasure taken by those ruffians in a purposeless destruction of human life. Not a doubt can be entertained that had the train expected to arrive with the police been upset, every being contained in it, if not killed by the accident, would have been ruthlessly shot down like a dog, or an opossum. … Like demons they have lived, and like demons they have died. Never perhaps in the long and sanguinary history of bush ranging, has Colonial Society been cursed with four fiends of so black a dye.” Both of you are off in fairyland with your suggestion that Ned Kelly was some sort of hero. There is not a scrap of evidence anywhere that would support your view. It appears you have been reading Ian Jones book Ned Kelly A Short Life, which is full of fictitious nonsense, and professional historians are scathing of his writings. I further point out that almost ALL government departments are removing the Kelly myths right now, with most of them gone by the end of Dec 2022. These include The Ned Kelly Touring Route, with 8 councils involved. The State Library of Victoria, with all the myths already removed. Victorian IBAC, where a report was on their site that claimed that many police were sacked, demoted or admonished. The report was not true in any sense, and that report has been removed. What you have presented is a distorted and false view of a very serious criminal, as the facts show. Completely out of touch with reality.
Hi Sam, thanks for your reply. We appreciate your passion on the topic. Our podcast is a hobby, we don't claim to be experts on all topics we discuss - in fact it's part of our brand and we often mention how our research is flawed and we rely heavily on what we find online, mainly wikipedia... and we accept it's not going to be spot on. Seems like you are an expert on this topic though and know a lot more about it than we do so thank you for submitting your responses to help our community out. Hope you have a great life ahead of you :)
Doubt very much if there were 2 killers, my theory is Susan Bartlett was out the back where toilets were kept in those little cottages, that may be the reason she heard nothing, and the difference in the amount of stab wounds could account for the girls build and weight. Suzanne Armstrong was a smaller girl only 65 kgs and Susan Bartlett 90 kgs. I think when Susan came in from the back of the house she heard something then walked up the passage towards the front door right down the other end of the house to see what was going on and more than likely Suzanne Armstrong was already dead, must have been terrible when Susan and the killer eyeballed each other. The killer would have then went after Susan because there was a thread of cotton leading from Suzanne Armstrong's body to Susan Bartlett's which the killer must have caught on his shoe or clothing which lead to the passage, meaning she was murdered 2nd. Girls were very unlucky, killer may have thought no one else was home, just a theory.
Thanks Dennis for sharing your theory with us, it really was a horrific case and as you said - the girls were very unlucky. Hopefully it will be solved one day! Thanks again for getting in touch with us.
Loving the banter
You guys seem to be having a god time making content :)
Thank you - we love it and are still going strong... and still having a fun time doing so :)
