I bought treasure from a museum for under $10

The Mark Twain Museum De accessioned some items. Naturally, I had to check it out. Wound up getting this chair with a depiction of the colonial Mexican flag. As far as I can tell, this is a one of a kind treasure.

Really enjoyed hearing how you unearthed the history on this chair.. glad its yours ...will be so appreciated for its history and beauty.
@@judeesoendker-jr6kw thank you
You are always so interesting and knowlegeable Gordon..I definitely need to stay there!!!! Its beautiful done.
Dang thats a big one
Sorry, but apart from a couple most of them seemed not too great.
@@praximan-ke8ek it’s just stuff for the shop didn’t pay much. Thanks for taking a look.
Damn nice. Just got back from an antique shop and they had a shit ton of great albums, if i had gone through all of them i would've have been there all day, and i had to stop myself from picking anymore up cause i already had about $130 worth of records in my hand lol. worth it though
Lots of common titles
I never run into anything like that. It’s always the usual thrift store “snigglefritz”: Mantovani, Herb Alpert, South Pacific, Oklahoma, First Family, Ray Conniff, Vaughan Monroe, Mario Lanza Crap!
Me either it was a wonderful lifetime collection. That’s why I bought the whole entire thing together.
You should have picked up The Time self titled album in the 1st rack. All of Prince early side projects were straight BANGERS.....
Awesome Video man & they had some really Awesome Records. I would've bought the JAWS Record had I been there. Again - Cool Video 👍🏻🪙👍🏻
Thank you for your posts. Probably the location is in England. An address communicated privately with the respective address, or a way of communication with the owner of the location is possible? . I am passionate about old frame models. There is a frame model with a garland of roses in this post. It deserves a molding after that model applied there. Maybe you have a solution for me.
@@Drakulya11 google Lydia’s Cabinet of curiosities. You will find contact information. Thank you.
i have a collection of more then 400 vintage lp s in one year of collecting 😎😎🤦♀🤦♀😂😂
Great work!!!
What were they asking for the albums?
I bought the whole collection as part of an estate.
@@mtscovideos8042 ... so what kind of deal did they give you?
It’s hard to say because I bought the whole estate. It came with more than just a record collection. I bought 500 pieces of original art as well as other things.
Some nice stuff. I haven't seen the Pearl Bailey and the Cab Calloway albums before. I was lucky enough to see Cab Calloway in Birmingham England in the late 1980s at the Birmingham International Jazz Festival.
It would gave been very difficult fir me nit to buy the whole collection. But if i was to buy just one, I would have bought the Blind Faith album. There were some classics in that collection.
I did buy the whole collection
Good evening, I am from Egypt and I am looking for a job with you. I make frames, paintings, stretch oil paintings, canvases, and manufacture wooden chassis.
@@MahmoudEl_refaey can you show me pictures of your frames?
It's a speed bag hanger. The rubber protects both the bag and the swivel inside. My old coach used to have one hung in the boxing gym I grew up in.
@@arionmreyman that’s great information thank you
@@mtscovideos8042 you're welcome
Seems like u would be correct. Rubber would protect the bag from the metal edge
Where are you located
Love all your stuff
Pretty neat! Subscribed
Kalan is a total babe ❤
Outstanding!
@@silversleuth007 I keep going out thinking I will top this find. Still no luck but I will keep hunting.
@@mtscovideos8042 ... My last great find in Ohio was a Stringtown Point. I sure miss hunting flint and granite tools.
Ray Wylie Hubbard.🔛🔝
You have the baphomet image, the upside down and right side up crescent moon. One image shows the heart removed and burned. Another image shows the body cut in half and quartered up. What’s the story on these items? Where did you come from across them
Whatever it is it looks Pagan to me. Looks like a drawing of the pierce points of Christ
TIP TOP!😊
I just found one like this. The difference in the shape of the solar panel. Mine is squared with straight cut corners. Could it be older?
Love it!
While wrongfully incarcerated in a medium security prison outside Roswell, N.M. (2006 to 2008) I managed to trade "procured" groceries from the commissary (which I was lead below the guard in charge) for Native American prison art (there were MANY Navajo's and Apache's there) on which they drew on the state issued envelopes. I still have a couple dozen, they are truly great artists. One artist, we called him Navajo Joe (Wilson Joe was his real name) was very gifted and was one of my true amigo's there. He was serving 2 years for his 11th DWI! What a character!
@@runnikcatti5997 sorry you were wrongfully incarcerated. But that is awesome that you got some artwork.
Fascinating! As someone who has filled up many a sketchbook with drawings, I sometimes wonder where they will end up. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing🥰
How you found treasure like this 😮.
I go to estate sales. I also have a storefront and it walks in the door.
hey man, very very cool, but if this is genuinely from the 1860s it might damage the 150 year old paper to even so much as touch it-make sure it's well-preserved-and hey, it might fetch a good price from a history museum!!
Clean washed hands are ok for archival reasons. The paper is extremely brittle however.
Girls what color was the book quick
This is awesome, thank you for sharing! If you have more, we would love to see more. ❤
Damn i wanna see more of it
So cool!!
Now, what in the world is that?👀😂
But there are windows next to it… i can’t process that o.o
, and other cool stuff like 200 years old stuff from the wars
Where I live, we find these all the time
No way, where
Could you wash that off and post some close up pictures. Looks like novaculite. Tks
6 inch blade, awesome find
What a pull ! Nice find !
What was it?
Nice. What part of the country are you in? I'm in deep southeast and we don't have those types down here.
Missouri
I found one along a creek in nebraska and it was made the same way. Has the same 1 foot gap between the walls. I now have a feeling that gap has a purpose. It's not random. By design.
Columbine and trillium .....This on private land or public ? Didnt d boone have a homestead up that way ,,Mouth of salt and the mississippi ?
Very cool. Those pictures remind me of the legends that where told about the native American warriors who had to fight the giant people. Because the Giants would raid the tribes, taking women and eating the others. The Giants where cannibals, and the many tribes sent their strongest and bravest warriors to defeat the giants. ❤️✌️
It does kind of look like that story. The largest guy with the basket does appear to be a giant.
QUARTZSITE????😮😮😮😮😮
enjoyed the video keep them up
