In Dec. 2015, we flew into Fairbanks, AK and then on to Bettles, AK - above the Arctic Circle. We some amazing Northern Lights viewing, campfires, and got is a fun dog-sled ride in Fairbanks.
Submersible Dive to 1000 Feet on the DeepSee Submersible at Cocos Island

In May 2014, I took a dive trip the remote Cocos Island for 10 days of diving on the M/V Argo. The diving was amazing (see my Cocos Island Diving YT video), and another highlight of the trip was taking a ride to 1000 feet deep in the DeepSee 3-person submersible that is on-board the M/V Argo.

Diving Cocos Island - Hammerheads!

Diving Cocos Island (Costa Rica) on the 'Argo' liveaboard (and onboard 3-person submersible - see other video). Diving is amazing at Cocos with almost guaranteed Hammerhead Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Mantas, Marble Rays, Eagle Rays, Turtles, Eels, big schools of fish, and tons of White Tips hunting in the beam of your light during night dives. May 2014.

@@Okey.denmark I’m very confident that you will not be disappointed by Misool. I will absolutely go back some day! I made two other Misool videos (on my UA-cam channel as well) for more on the diving, and even the snorkeling is amazing there. Wakatobi is another amazing place in Indonesia (I have a video on that one as well). We also had amazing diving in the Solomon Islands last February (two videos on the Solomons on my channel). Thanks! It’s a fun experience and the people who run it are great. It was a great add-on to my Moab hiking trip. There’s another company in Moab doing tandem BASE jumps as well.

@@joeaardvark9214 I think they’ve raised the price quite a bit since I did it because it’s become more popular/well-known. I just checked their website, looks like it’s $399 now.

@ Yeah, I think that is double what I paid. Definitely not an inexpensive experience, especially now. But it is a lot of fun.

The O2 partial pressure is definitely low at such altitudes, but in this case, HALO actually is an acronym for High Altitude Low Opening in reference to exiting high and opening low to avoid detection (in the case of military ops). There is also the HAHO: High Altitude High Opening in which the the canopy is opened almost immediately after exiting the aircraft at high altitude, thereby allowing for a very long down-range glide (relative to nominal canopy deployments).

I've been using the 'Eye-of-Mine' housing, but am thinking about getting the latest GoPro camera and their new underwater housing as well - did your red filter come with GoPro? Thanks. -Eric
Excellent Video.I am returning to Yap and Palau in Oct 2012.Have you tried a red filter on your housing yet?I have just bought a Go Pro system with the new dive housing and a red filter,but have not yet had a dive to check out the color balance.
