LASIK in Mexico
In this video I share my experience in getting Lasik done in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. This doctor was recommended by my friend who lived in the city and also got LASIK done with him 5 years ago. I saved a lot of money doing one of the same procedures done in the USA.

Texas Snow Storm in Horseshoe Bay, Tx
Переглядів 803 роки тому
Several people around our area were affected severely with the snow storm in Texas. We only suffered from power outages that made it stressful bc we would wait for energy to come back to cook but we didn’t know if it will come back at all. My heart goes out to all of those who lost power and water :( We were fortunate to have only lost water.
Texas Snow Storm 2/2021: Washing dishes without running water!
Переглядів 3583 роки тому
Wanted to share a hack I learned to wash your dishes when you have no running water. My family and I are currently going through water crisis. During the Texas snow storm of 2021 we were left without.
do you have an updated link for the mattress?
Is there a way to clean the changing table ?
Yes! You just have to remove all the inserts. I’ve washed it in gentle before.
I read this is not sleep safe once they outgrow the bassinet ?
The whole crib? I have not kept up with recent updates for infants but per their website on this particular version, it’s sleep safe. My soon to be 3 yr old is still sleeping in it :) It holds up pretty good bc my oldest also used it up to 3 yrs old too. He’s now soon to be 5 yrs old. It’s never felt unsafe to me but if you’re not comfortable with it I’m sure there are other options that are great too :)
Hey! My husband and I are thinking of getting this for our newborn. Is it safe to use this starting day 1? Is the bassinet function worth it? I just want to make sure its good for baby when he gets home from the hospital
Totally safe to use from baby’s birth! Bassinet helps the mattress be at higher level inside the cot. Make sure to remove bassinet when the infant begins to push up on hands and knees, or has reached 20 lb. Which ever comes first. I still use it till this day! Baby #2 is 2.5 yrs old and the cot is still holding strong!!! It’s his full time bed.
Wow your home as a great view
Thank you😍 Texas Hill Country ❤
Update: I went for a post check up 5 months later. They said everything healed very well! I had high myopia (blindness) and a small complication is night vision. I can drive and i can see but it’s a tiny but blurry. I see perfectly during the day though. I find it’s most comfortable at night when lubricating often during the day. Doctor said there’s not much he can do about the night issue. He didn’t want to prescribe glasses to avoid getting used to them. He did recommend drops 4 times a day.
@cindyyareli. Hi Cindy :) This video was made a year ago and the price was $349.95. I'd like to purchase one for my tot too; I noticed the numbers has increased by $50 dollars. Can you recommend any stores that sells at this price?
Hello! I do not know any store. I’m sorry :(
I go for surgery on mine tomorrow morning. Though mine had stemmed from an injury from a biking accident that unfortunately wouldn't heal right. They said I would be under general anesthesia I'm going to be off work for around 7 weeks. And they said no lifting above 5 pounds. But I also have more tissue damage outside of just the tenosynovitis. They won't be able to fix all of it at this moment. And that I may need another surgery in the future. But they can at least fix part of it for now to help me get out of some of this pain.
Carrie, just now saw your comment. I hope surgery went well and that no other surgery is necessary. Wishing you fast recovery!❤
Thanks girl, Helpful video. What place did you go to I’ve been researching where to go in Mexico.
You’re so welcome! Apologies for late reply. I posted clínica fb page on videos description :) It was in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Whole trip from Austin Texas and surgery was less than $1500 for a weekend :)
Thanks for posting. Can you please let me know if you were and are able to pick up your babies and do everything else just like before having the condition? Did you do any therapy post surgery and how long is the complete recovery process? Thank you in advance .
You are so welcome! It’s been since april 2021 that I had first surgery on left hand and it’s about to be a year in January on my right. I feel 100% recovered at this point. I was cleared to pick up my toddler who was about 18 months a week later or less and sooner with 7 month old. I think it was 5 days. I rode my peloton bike day of surgery 😂 few days later I was able to wash dishes and felt pretty independent. They told me not to baby it too much. I was cleared without restriction to go back to normal by the 2nd week or sooner I think. Recovery and confidence in hand returned for sure by 4-6 weeks later.
Just ordered mine. Not the pregnancy ones though.. just the multivitamin one. Can’t wait. I struggle with many issues within my body like fatigue, tiredness, nausea, abnormal menstrual Cycles and more and I have heard this regulates it. I've been looking into it for a while and finally bit. 💕
I hope you get all the benefits you’re looking for!
Is this safe for babies to sleep in if they bassinet part is removed?
Yes! Totally safe :) just don’t use the 3rd party mattress!
Thank you so much for you video. Curious how was your recovery from the surgery..do you feel fully recovered now?
Hello! I feel fully recovered! Thank goodness! I ended up doing surgery on my right hand after I gave birth. Recovery was easy. I did have help for a week but I was able to manage on my own with a 2 year old and a 7 month old eventually. I am thankfully pain free.
How did it personally make you feel? Everything you mentioned was very general. Did it make a difference for you? Thank you 😊
Hello, unfortunately it’s been more than a year since I did this review my answer would be invalid lol. But it gave me the strength to pull through with a toddler and a baby that measured 94th percentile through out the whole pregnancy lol. Hope that helps a bit /:
Hi Cindy ,thank you for sharing! I really like the idea of the mattress, And the size is perfect for the playard. where did you get it? Can you tell me the website? Thank you so much.
Hello Hui, I purchased this one on the mattress firm website. Last I check it was discontinued :( I’m sorry.
Hi Cindy! Thank you for this video! I was wondering if you ever traveled on the plane with the Nuna Sena Aire? If so, did you just check it like a regular bag?
Hello! I have not! But I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to ;) I’m sure you can check it in like a regular bag/luggage at the airport :)
very nice bag. thanks for this.
my nuna aire will not fold up and easily as yours. the mat doesn't really fit around. is this an issue you've experienced? any tricks to getting it to wrap?
Same it was such a struggle to get it. My husband had to hold so I could fasten. Maybe hers is broken in. Brand new it was almost impossible. 🥴
Hi Christi, when I made this video I had owned the Nuna for at least 18 months (if not a little more). I had the same problem but got the hang of it and did break it in lol. I use a wall to help me compress it all in and then wrap the mat around. By pressing against wall I feed in the Velcro straps and secure the tight wrap. Keep in mind, once your baby reaches 15 pounds or sits up (which ever comes first) you want to remove the bassinet. Without bassinet it’s a lot easier to fold.
Oh, one more thing. Just in case you’re not doing this, when you wrap the mat around the crib make sure you’re matching the sides (if that makes sense). On minute 6:13 you can see the wider side of how the mat folds. If you’ll like me to upload video on how I fold it please let me know.
@@daniellespencer2758 I replied on wrong thread lol. Please see my comments.
You mentioned you stopped using the bassinet at 5 months, around how many pounds was your baby by then?
Hi Nadia, I apologize for not replying to you sooner. Didn’t get notification…I honestly don’t remember. However, my now 5 month old baby is 15 lbs and he’s still sleeping on the bassinet. He has not learned to roll over yet. I personally will continue to use till that happens but the manual does say discontinue use of bassinet once baby reaches 15 pounds.
Where did you get the mattress? I cant find it on mattress firm website? The one on amazon has folds and I wanted something solid. Thank you
Henri, I tried looking for it for you. It seems mattress firm does not sell it anymore :( This is the item info I received when I ordered in 2020: My First Mattress Port-A-Crib Mattress Pad I hope that helps you find something online that’s compatible. Size says it’s 26x37 inches on order confirmation. I’m sorry i wasn’t much help. Best of luck!
Hello! Is it the grey or champagne one? Thank you!
Hi Helena, this is the gray cot aka Granite.
@@cindyyareli Thank you!! And thank you for this video!
Hi Cindy, thanks for the details. I have a question. Me and my wife were scoping around, and it seems there are a lot of opinions online against using a travel crib as a permanent solution. I honestly don't really understand why, considering that the closing mechanism here is quite safe, so even if the kid is heavier, it could not close on itself because it folds upwards. Do you thing there are any downsides about this? or any other specific pitfall for using a travel cot instead of a regular one?
Hello Colin, thanks for reaching out. I have not experience any downsides of it folding upwards. I could say that eventually your toddler will want to sleep on a more comfortable mattress. My tot is 2 years old still uses it for naps and he sleeps in it at night but wakes up a little after midnight wanting to sleep in bed. That’s the only downside I can see…
@@cindyyareli Hey there. 1 year later, when did you transition to the bed? My kid has been great in it since we bought it, but she’s nearing 2 years and 3 months
Loco loco loco 🥰
This is great!! I look forward to using it next pregnancy :)
