Good reaction. A long time ago I bought an expensive Fender Stratocaster. I didn't like the sound from the bridge pickup. I thought the tremolo sucked too. But I put a Seymore split coil humbucker next to the bridge, and then I lowered the bridge so that it sat on the body. I then loved it even for it's cons. But I thought by changing / lowering the tremolo saddle into a non-floating position and in contact with the body would give it more sustain and resonance. I couldn't sense any difference with the tremolo, but the humbucker change made it sound like a Les Paul or SGl but with more gain. That got me thinking why buy an expensive guitar if I am going to change out the pickups later. To me, it's the feel of the neck, good intonation and great pickups. The standard strat neck is OK, but a custom one is better. So after I do the pickups and replace the neck (Its cheaper then re-fretting) all you got left is the body. Did that have any impact on anything? Then I started researching and that lead me to tonewoods. Common sense told me that good acoustic instruments with out electronics make the full use of tonewoods and construction. But does just a maple vs oak electric guitar body matter to get my sound. I assumed no, but after finding JimLill from my research, I was convinced my theory was proven. But man, you will be surprised how misled a lot of folks are. So my new theory is that 40 percent of people don't use their common sense. lol Thanks good watch.

Just wondering about an upgrade from GP-100 to 200. Apart from all the extra feature set, is the output sound a whole lot better than the GP-100 or using the same basic electronics and produce the same overall sound? Not interested in modelling amps/ cabs, recording etc, just effects straight into the front of a clean amp (Jazz Chorus) Comparison overall quality of sound?

All reverbs in this demo have a metallic sound in the tail. Anyone noticed this?

I've been on the fence about type when it comes to Bass. I've been messing around on guitar for many years but I've never bought a Bass and am not settled on what I want to learn on.. I will more than likely do the right thing and get a P Bass style unit to learn my grooves.. But then.. there's sweet J.. who goes 'Hey budday.. I do P stuff and more... have me''... AND then my friend buys a Ray and Ricky and I fall in love with them and have ZERO business doing so. K. Breathe. Self control.. Buy the Donner P and go from there. Right?

There is a definite 'fullness' on the PRS when you venture up-neck that the Sammick lacks but that lil Tele has that 'Tele twang' that any decent Tele should offer.. and I don't expect out of the PRS. Nor should I. It's not a Tele. If my PRS sounds like a Tele.. Why didn't I buy a Tele?... I spelled Tele waaay -Tele- too much.😁

I like both of them.. And for $4K less I can learn to Love that lil Sammick, bastard Tele. The PRS sounds heavenly..as it should for the price of a good used car but that 'Sammich' sounds bright, fun and happy to me.. Give me that PRS and give Slash the Sammy and tell me what sounds better... Practice!!!

So this video put me over the edge and I got a crazy good use case for this after it has been sitting in my "save for later" portion of my amazon account since 2019 😂 I have a boss rc-505 looper. I play drums, guitar, bass, and piano. Drum machines don't do it for me and I didn't want to spend the money on a big multipad. I mostly just want to create a simple beat using a kick, snare, ride or hat ... save that loop, then add bass, and either play guitar or piano over that. Much more interesting and musical than playing to a metronome. And also better than downloading a "beat" that I didn't make. I want something bare bones with just a basic method to get a beat going. This is it. Nothing special, $120 new. No brainer for my use case.

I had both units to my feet when gigging. And suprisingly i had difficulties using the upper row of switches on the qc. I have quite big feet and i found myself accidently hitting the two switches at once. I went that far that i just disabled the upper row. I don‘t own much gear that‘s worth capturing. With the ampero I found more than enough tonal options to get absolutly lost for hours, tayloring tones and jamming to tracks via bluetooth. And that price difference just sold it to me pretty quickly. There are some drawbacks. I don’t know if it‘s just my unit, but switching drive blocks multiple times rapidly sometimes caused the unit to freeze. But that i could only achieve by using the scrolling wheel. I do own the ampero for roughly three months now and took it to the festival stages in slightly rainy days or fierce sunlight and it never let me down. Such a great piece of gear. I can recommend it to any musician who doesn‘t actually now that he/she needs the qc. There is also a cloud for saving up and sharing presets. If you need the extra features you will know. Have a great time✌️

Katana has it's own speaker in it unless you get the artist version it has a waza . All Katanas the have a 12 inch speaker. Yes they have software, no it isn't a modeling amp it's solid state. If you use pedals anyway you never need it hooked to a laptop. The circuit is AB just like your tube amps . It acts and responds like a tube amp long as the volume knob never goes past 9:30 am. Since the artist was released I have not had a tube amp since my artist is better without dragging 20 pedals around lol
