Best Places in Devon
On the south coast of England, just before you reach the famous Cornwall, lies the idyllic county of Devon, a real gem. Devon is best known for its picturesque hills, picturesque fishing villages and the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks. The land here seems older, wilder and more pristine than in the east and between the famous tors of Dartmoor - bizarrely shaped granite formations that are said to have been haunted by the devil - the Norman cathedral in Exeter and the many hidden prehistoric beauties of Devon, travelers will find all their wishes fulfilled in mystical England.
If you are looking for evidence of the past, for sagas and legends, Devon is the place for you. The county was one of the first regions in England to be settled at the end of the last ice age. The first hunter-gatherers were on Dartmoor as early as 6,000 BC. The remains of their villages can still be admired today in the rugged and barren landscape.
Tourism has also found its way into Devon, as more and more people are attracted by the beautiful landscape and historical sights of Devon. As one of the largest counties in England, Devon has much to offer, including 500 kilometers of coastline with some of the most beautiful sandy beaches in England. I think you mean Castro of Santa Trega. It is a partially reconstructed Celtic village.
Do you mean the ones at 24:50? This is a modern sculptural installation by the Galician sculptor Manolo Paz. The installation was inaugurated in 2003 with the name "Menhires pola paz" (In Galician language; "Menhirs for peace" in English). It is part of the Sculptural Park by the Torre de Hércules, in A Coruña.

I'm going for a 2 time now from the Netherlands and still don't know for sure where 2 buy . For myself but also for renting out . I chance so 2 say ... can't only think with my hart .. love Guardiagrele, have sean a good house in the centre ... 25min. from coast but still not sure . Din't want just a small appartement. Bufones in Pria, a village near Llanes. My village, my country. The place where I grew up. From the 50 beaches, you can see the first line of mountains 2 to 3km away just nearby. If you are courageous and want to see the top of the first 600m mountain, you can do it in 4h knowing the path, the other side is the natural reserve and you have to be careful to descend 4h too, and if you don’t have the material for camping then get off without delay and you’ll have time for a last drink of cider before night time. Never go to the mountain alone and without knowing where are the springs.. Some roads are marked and cross areas where the mountain is beautiful and nature is dominant. It is not very hot as in the rest of Spain but very humid and just pleasant, in summer as in winter it is between 20 and 30 degrees. From 2000 there is snow in some places. The beaches are the cleanest in Europe, many and varied. Without construction less than 1km away
