I'm blown away to have made it into your top ten again 😊 Don't worry - B4RC05 Ign4T doesn't mean anything rude - it's a play on 'Ship' from the Spanish 'Barco' and 'Fire' from the Slavic 'Ignat' which pertains to an entity which controls fire. The reason being they are the Enginseer on the Sump Skiff, and their main solution to problems or enemies is dousing them in 'dubyadee' to fix them... Or set them alight!

Yeah this year as it was the first year we let peeps enter that way. But they were not as heavily weighted as the ones made for it as adhering to rolls was a factor in the judging. And 7/10 were made for the comp.

Yeah it would be near impossible to know if people enter pre-made stuff or not, so they need to be included. I visited everyone’s Instagram that entered that way and did my best to check and make notes of that and when we sat down and judged off camera separately and together that was an important part of judging, we put a lot of emphasis of the importance of build for comp but at the same time didn’t want to not include people that wouldn’t have as much time or resources to do so. In the rules Hamilton mentioned the tables where optional and just for fun. I reiterated that too in all my posts. We will be taking this feedback to heart though, we have learned a lot of hard lessons this year. We did this contest out of love n respect for the community and I have spent a lot of hours upon hours on it just as Hamilton has. Before the contest was even half over I was rewriting the rules for next years with the fine toothed comb of a GW games lawyer & I’m sure I’ll still mess up, but you can be assured that this is no hack job. 😅❤😊 again - thanks for the feedback!

It wasn't really a criticism. I just stressed myself out for very little reason. Besides: Even my slow-burning work couldn't compare to some of the ones shown here. Will there bee a people's choice for the entire gang?

@@MarkusJackDijkgraaf no unfortunately not, if people only entered a gang, we selected selected minis from them to move into the, single mini category, then the top 25 of the single mini category was used for the people’s choice otherwise there would have been far too many options for people to vote on at a glance at there was 160 in total.

That is a fair point. I think the chaps felt it lacked that vibe of sci-fi in a few ways. Though that can be necromunda. But tbh its made it to the top 10; and with that it was hard to find many faults! 😅 we were struggling to find them for many of these as they are all incredible. Glad you pointed it out though; we will take it on board as we decide. and its still in the running for the win. Its an absolutely great gang!

@@Le_Petomane please feel confident to enter next year, we judged by converting, theme, efforts on dice rolls, supporting narrative written, painting, imagination, made for comp or not ect. We didn’t just look at who would be on a GW boxset promise. 😅

@@Fueledchaos The Mk6 (beakies) and Mk3 redux (with the spike helmets) are correct scale firstborn marines, similar to current Chaos Space Marines or Deathwatch Veterans. Avoid the Mk4 or older Mk3 (without the spike).

You're right there; they were a late swap. And thus the models crossover a lot more than other ranges. I guess Orks are the only other one where you get the same cross-over so far.

3D printed bases never hurt GW...

@@ZaZi-Zeta01 that's very true but not everyone has a 3D printer bud so it's not really a fair argument to make. I'm lucky I've got printers myself but I'd probably still get them bought, resin bases will eventually get chipped and break and fdm printers leave hideous layer lines

Agree. But they are still pretty cheap; found 100 32mm bases for £7.

That is a fair note. But at least some of the big hitters are available for 20% off, like the chaos warriors are £44 @ element games. I guess the point was that it is a great way to bulk out an army with what (I personally think) are pretty good sculpts.

TBF it's not like for like - the newer Darkoath models are vastly superior to the pretty cringe old world marauders. I have the first release of Chaos marauders from back in the 80s (White metal variety) and they were essentially just slightly less beefy chaos warrior (full plate etc but not quite as big as Chaos warriors) and they look way better than whatever this 'Old World' Marauder model design is supposed to represent...

@@Fueledchaos mine was the gallapox ogryn made into a Gladiator with the big Claw from an INQ 54 mini. Holding thumbs for the Gang entry. But it was fun just to enter.

There is the winds of magic book but i havent read it yet but even then you shouldnt need to buy another book to figure out how a mechanic works😅
