I think and believe that you finally get happiness. You get the intangible soulfood. Those young people blessed enough to follow that voice will probably struggle less. I'm trying to encourage my 12th grade daughter to use it now. Listen to The Divine Feminine. ❤❤❤❤❤

I would love to see more screening tests that reveal a child's strengths and weaknesses. Something showing/validating their giftedness. It's frustrating how certain school districts would recognize and cultivate their children's giftedness, but circumvent other students.

I just find Mrs. Lewis incredibly arrogant and terribly old-school.

Social media is a trip. I wish I could just say that this is a bad dream, but imagine an already very marginalized and socially isolated mixed-race autistic Black woman who was bullied and sexually harassed out of the workforce five years ago being blocked by a NYT bestselling author, Ijeoma Oluo, for simply making a comment that described her lived truth? I’ve only been a recent follower of hers and I eagerly commented on her post about abused animals not needing to prove their victimhood is virtuous whereas abused humans must meet the “virtuous victim” criteria in order to receive sympathy or support. I commented that I had written a similar analogy in August of 2020 and posted screenshots as proof. Now, in a perfect world, she might have commented “Great minds think alike”. But I think it is the Nigerian in her that caused her to look down on me, especially when I worked a diss from DiDi Delgado into my comment. DiDi Delgado publicly shamed me on Ally Henny’s post and I took a screenshot of it and posted it on my Facebook profile for all to see, just in time for Black History Month. What I didn’t know was that DiDi Delgado helped promote Oluo’s latest book, “Be a Revolution” a month later. After I did some digging to find out why Ijeoma Oluo blocked me, I came across the online poster promoting their collaboration and that was the “AHA!” moment. She chose capitalism over compassion and denied my humanity because I made her uncomfortable. All her quotes are empty and meaningless to me now. What she did in secret will not remain in secret as long as I can share my story about these two public figures’ dastardly deeds. This is why we Black women are THEE MOST disrespected demographic in the United States. Women like Delgado and Oluo choose to oppress a nobody like me - one does it overtly while another chooses a covert means - blocking - all because I shared my lived truth in the comments section. Y’all need to DO BETTER!

So I was blocked by Ijeoma Oluo on her Facebook page because I commented on her post that I, a mixed race Black woman, experienced less support because I failed to meet the criteria for the “perfect victim” - the topic of Ijeoma’s post. I had a post in August 2020 with a similar theme to her post from yesterday about abused animals eliciting more sympathy than abused humans. I cited myself as an example. I was racially oppressed by a whyte woman and wannabe whyte woman and started a petition to raise awareness of it. I noticed that there weren’t many people who look like me who supported me, and mentioned that DiDi Delgado even insulted me in a comment. I didn’t know that DiDi Delgado and Ijeoma were BFFs so I didn’t expect Ijeoma to block me, but she did. The irony of not meeting her criteria for empathy is not lost on me. This is why we as Black women will not have the collective strength to effect meaningful social change. We are a house divided. The difference between myself, Ijeoma, DiDi Delgado and all the other Blacktivists is that I am a private person who has thus far not monetized my pain in the form of a book, a podcast, or even a Facebook page. I have no books to sell anyone. I have not made one red cent out of the pain caused by all the racist oppression I have endured. I speak the truth from my lived experience and I made the mistake of commenting on Ijeoma’s Facebook page that her friend, DiDi Delgado, hurt me, a NOBODY. So she does what any neurotypical woman would do - she blocks me as if I was the BAD person for talking about what bothers me.

Thomas's pathology should be studied/noted. The PBS special on Thomas and Ginnie, shows where his hatred of Black/Brown folk come from. Because of how he was treated by his own, its like he's enacted a lifelong vengeance against us.
