Such an underrated song, Dolores has a voice like no one else it’s so beautiful it’s able to capsulate so much emotional residence as well, and she has the perfect balance between sounding rough and edgy and sounding soft and soothing. Some people complain about how thick her accent is especially when she’s performing live but honestly I think that’s one of the reasons why I love her voice so much. But honestly even when she sang an upbeat tune it’s still somehow brings me to tears she could be singing about her goddamn favorite ice cream flavor is or how are the grass is green in Ireland and I would still get really emotional. I’m not someone who picks up on lyrics by listening to songs I have to look up the lyrics for myself I could listen to a song 50 times and not get the lyrics, and even before I knew what any of the cranberrys songs were about is still found myself crying. And six years later after her tragic death and learning about her upbringing,It only adds to the emotion I feel. Does anyone else agree or am I just a weirdo?
