My name is Micke and I'm a Swedish photographer and videographer. I started out with photography in 1989 & for the last 4 years I have been a drone pilot as well. Incredible fun!
Here you can watch drone videos that I have filmed with my first drone, Fimi X8 SE. But from January 2022 I have used my new DJI Mini 2 instead to get a little bit better quality & stability of the videos. In November 2024 by the way I bought a new DJI Air 2S though to capture the drone flights with instead. Seems to be a great drone!
My goal is to capture Swedish landscapes and history in a smooth & cinematic way for a calm, tranquil & relaxing mode as a viewer... Thay´s my way of doing it.

R.I.P. My Mini 2 - Cinematic 21:9 - 4K
After my final and unfortunate flight in early September with my Mini 2 I decided to give it up and buy another drone. Now I have bought a DJI Air 2S and gonna use that one instead. A really good drone. A testflight with that one is coming up soon.

Another short video from yesterday. I recorded material for a final video length of probably 7-8 minutes but there were jello in the majority of all shots so had to use only the shots with a little jello or without it. Testflight after error, crash & repair - First Flight For a Month - DJI Mini 2 - Cinematic 21:9 (4K)

After a weird error and a following crash a month ago I needed to repair my drone. One back arm, the flex cable from the gimbal and all rubber shock absorbers had to be replaced. But now I fixed it, finally! After this sunset evening flight I can state that the drone seems to work as it should again. My last video for a while. My drone had a mystic error when it was 250 meters away and 20 meters above a forest and went down and was then stuck in a tree 10 meters up. It took two days to get it down. The gimbal was hanging loose with a broken flex cable, lost all rubber dampings & one rear arm was broken too. An early morning flight again, at sunrise. There were no mist when I got out but as soon as the sun was rising over the horizon the mist started to build up. Very nice! Again... An early morning flight at sunrise in wonderful weather. Visited a King Pile 30 km from my home. It's the biggest king pile in Södermanland, where I live, and the third biggest one in Sweden. The mound is assumed to be from the Iron Age, and according to tradition is the grave of Östen Adilsson, who fell around here about the year 550 AD. Hope you like the video! Last but not least... ...

Once again an early morning and a trip 85 km from home. I had hope about a warm and misty morning but it was just 5 degrees Celsius and almost no mist. Freezing! My second flight this season is done. Did a morning flight this time (but not as early as I used to do last season though) with no wind at all and a sun that tried to break through the clouds all the time. Thank you! 👍🙏 For me the MIni 2 is "dead & buried" so to speak as it has too many issues after the crash this Summer. It's not gonna fly again. Maybe I'm gonna give it away for someone to pick parts from it or something. We'll see.

Well there are parts on ebay although with all the new drones DJI is poking out and rumours of Mini 5 pro you could wait for that one but you have done some great videos with that mini 2, did not use mine much as most places I fly too windy for it and gimbal got pushed around too much spoiling videos so gave it away.

Sad to hear that your mini gave up in the end. As I am into more dynamic (fast, faster, FPV!) drones atm, I still love some smooth footage of my mini 4 pro. And your Videos are the quintessence of smooth! Hopefully we will see some new Videos from you soon :) PS: As I told you before, if possibile upgrade to a mini 3 or mini 4 pro or even an air 3 - I am still very interested what you can do with colorgrading proper LOG footage when you can already get quite nice results with the 8-bit footage of a "non-Pro" drone ^^
Thank you! I will probably buy a Mini 3 or Mini 4 if the price is right. It has its advantages to stay under 250 grams when it comes to restrictions nowadays.
Oh man, it must have been such a nerve wrecking experience. At least it was over unpopulated area and you were able to get it down safely in the end. Thus far I did not have any problems with my Mini 2. It always was a very reliable drone and I still love it.
Yeah, it was a bit nerve wrecking. It has been a year with trouble with it so it was time to move on to another one. Glad though that your drone is working flawlessly. 👍

I own the mini 2..... I don't understand how you shoot such great quality videos with this drone... I don't go out with this quality... Shooting 4k video 🤷🤷
@@matv.8678 Thank you! Well... For this video I used a ND16 filter in the scenes with strong sun back lighting to get a more cinematic feel to it. Smooth control without any jerky movements is very important for it to look good too. I looked at your channel for some of your videos but there were none... Would be nice to see what you mean with your poor quality.
