If you take the rear/back gate (gate behind the tennis court and nearest to the dorms), you go down the hill a little bit, and on one of the right roads, you should see a sign that says Cafe An! Their Instagram is cafe_an_s.w ! Hope this helps and I hope they're still open :')

Yes! I'm assuming you're talking about the dorms where 2 students would share one room. There were a lot of international students in those dorms and some were also paired with other international students. Hope this helps!

Hi! Omg I am so excited for you!! First off, congrats on going abroad :) I have a ton of tips to share. Is there anything in particular that you are worried about or would like advice on? If I had any to give right now, I would say: - Download Naver map app to get around Seoul - Try to get phone/internet service as soon as u can (I used ChinguMobile) - Get the Papago app for photo translation - If you are someone who loves to buy things, make sure to pack AS LIGHT as u can! I ended up buying and bringing back so many things i had to pay for an extra luggage lol - UOS will offer u to purchase a study abroad type University jacket or long puffer jacket towards mid year or so (the puffer jacket was a lifesaver for the snowy winter time. but a pain to bring back home!) - Regarding the UOS school, it is truly such a sweet and fun campus! Get to know the area and check out this cafe called Cafe Ahn! It has yummy breakfast and a sweet lady who runs it! - Try to come into the country knowing a bit of Korean and how to read Korean if you can. Also try and figure out how to get to ur hotel or the university from the airport. I suggest the coaches/buses. They were a cheaper option, took me to the hotel i was staying at, and I was able to store my luggage in the bus. I would love to say more but I'll stick with these for now. Are refrigerators provided there so we can cook and store food, or will we need to eat out every day (which isn't too bad, to be honest)? Also, is it possible to arrive a couple of days earlier than the orientation day and stay at the dorms? Additionally, do Korean students take some of the courses offered in English, allowing for interaction with them?

@@shaharavigav7634 Okay, so regarding refrigerators, I believe there was a way to rent out a fridge in the beginning of the semester at the dorms. At the start, you'll see a ton of fridges on the first floor for people to pick up but I think you have to personally reach out about wanting a fridge to the dorm department (maybe email them before regarding your interest?) and you probably will have to fill some paperwork out. I believe the price to rent is 20,000-40,000 won? I honestly can't remember. But, these fridges are small fridges that I think you will need to set up in your dorm. I never saw any fridges in the kitchen area. The kitchen area has stove tops, microwaves, big sinks, and drinking-water refill stations (in addition to seating). I personally never cooked (teehee) so I usually spent about 20,000 won, in total, a day for breakfast and dinner. A lot of the local areas are super affordable. (If it's still there) there is a pasta place called Llama which has full meals for under 10,000 won! I usually ate breakfast at the nearby cafe (Cafe Ahn) or got some things at the convenience store. Regarding early stay, uhm I can't remember all too well about when we were allowed to stay at the dorms, but I believe that we have a couple days to move in prior to orientation day. I would email them just in case! So, idk if you've chosen your classes yet, but classes that are for Korean language learning, culture/history/Korean-media learning, or other Korean related topics, will most likely not have native Koreans enrolled. A lot of the classes offered were mostly only for exchange students, but you can take classes that native Koreans are enrolled in. These classes will probably be classes dedicated to certain careers. I took an Artificial Intelligence course and the majority were native Koreans, and the class was taught in English. So, long answer short, yes, you can enroll in courses that are taught in English AND have native Korean students enrolled. Hope this helps!
