We need a reboot of this with Mario, exactly the same editing and aspect ratio
Yes 😂❤
Ok i'm 11 years late and I'm a big CHON fan but I have a question. Is this not in G Major because he said "6th degree because we're in E minor" but the 6th chord in G is E minor
Both are correct. The key signature would be G Major. But, since the focus is around the vi chord, we’d think of it as E minor. Mario ain’t fooling around. Lol
@@666Deathrunner666 ah okay thanks for explaining
nice
Let's burn a dooby and get busy. lol
thats sus af
I’d tap that
Can I still get some lessons bro?.........
i wish mario kept making videos like this
IKR
ua-cam.com/video/LaOdwqSjzrk/v-deo.html its the lick from 1:51 but Erick and Mario are harmonizing it.
good one matey
nice
2020 and it stills relevant. Subscribe on my channel and check my covers! Probably i'll have one by chon
Hey Mario I tried to call for a listen but no one answered. I'm sueing CHON for taking this opportunity away from me.
@1.25 ....40oz by Polyphia 😂
Can you still get lessons with Mario?!
He is so chopless
if you wa,t to learn sweeping just search fro frank gambale....that's all
can i still take lessons with mario
brilliant work mmt!
Good looking Ibanez guitar
Pretty Cool video, thanks for posting this video
anyone know this stuff but in major?
Mario habla con una paja terrible jajajaja. Tremendo violero este guachin
:O
I'm assuming lessons with Mario are post-poned for a while?
After 4 years of playing guitar. Like, seriously?
no, he def played for more than 4 years at this point, ua-cam.com/video/RQABKo2uPyk/v-deo.html is a video of him playing with the same accuracy as here in 2008.
I think that's Eric in the video. U can hear Mario closer to the mic but it's hard to tell plus the account is clearly mario camarena
@@thebesttoeverexist omg that video was a ticket to my emo years TFOT vibe
he's been in chon since 08
moed
what fingers do i use for each note
thumb
EricksMusic lol, just figure out what works for you bro
Pinky works too
Can anyone explain the degrees of going up this scale or whatever he said?Or why he starts on the 6th degree? Or maybe a link to a awesome video? Thanks guys
Rook D Mario is playing in the key of Em, which is the 6th degree of the G major scale (Em is the relative minor of G major). I - G major, G major seventh (Gmaj, Gmaj7) ii - A minor, A minor seventh (Am, Am7) iii - B minor, B minor seventh (Bm, Bm7) IV - C major, C major seventh (C, Cmaj 7) V - D major, D dominant seventh (D, D7) vi - E minor, E minor seventh (Em, Em7) vii° - F# diminished, F# minor seventh flat five (F#°, F#m7b5) Look up videos on harmonizing the major scale and modes. Hope this helps. peace
Sebastian Hall thanks man. That makes sense I have alot to learn theory side of things. Thanks for the help dude
Rook D No problem man, its well worth learning imo.
Sebastian Hall hey my friend.. could you recommend a couple of videos for me to learn scale and harmonizing videos... for dummies? haha
@@sebastianhall4467wait how is Em *the* relative minor to Gmaj? Do u mean it’s *a* relative minor or *the* relative minor? I’m confused because there’s also an Am and Bm in the key of G
how does the tapping part go? is there any specific spot that I would need to tap on?
He's probably tapping on one of the notes that's connected to that root scale.
how can i know wich arpeggios can i play over the different chords?
guys he is not using a seven string....D:
lmao. real chill. just killing it.
These are still available ?
That's a sexy guitar
I know the full sweep is on SoundCloud but does anyone know what he's playing in the very beginning of the video? It sounds so sick
Josh Combs 2 years and no on know and where on sound cloud
@@lordtimebomb6792 2 more years lol soundcloud.com/mario-camarena/dumb-sweep
@@lupe_g2 not the same but still cool as fuck
@@lordtimebomb6792 he is not playing any song, he is just arrpegiating the degrees -but i dont know exactly wich ones is he sweeping
Bm7 Am7 arpeggios followed by Em7 Fmaj7
If you want to hear the full sweep he plays at the end, check out "Dumb Sweep" on his soundcloud. Soundcloud: Mario Camarena
thank you Mario really helped me :)
These guys are great!!
so he's just following natural minor harmony, arpeggiating each chord/scale interval and adding the seventh. music is fun . lol
Dominick Gonzales wish i could learn all these music theory
Dani Zha You can!! Pick up an instrument! Guitar/Piano are fantastic instruments to learn!
Yes its just diatonic harmony. Very simple, just adding another guide tone (7th)
It’s like really simple algorithm
Thanks dude, I'm trying to map out sweeps with inversion. I normally use the Jason Becker/Marty Friedman platform and 3 octave types and try to work on extending them throughout the fretboard in a more musical approach. Most people just don't have the 7th inversions and it's getting annoying to find sweep patterns. I'm work on add9, 6th, 6/9, add4, thanks for the 7th rockbandschoolmusic
sounds like your on the right path! i need to study more. :/
does he still do this? ik theyre on tour rn
Mario will teach Skype lessons when he is available. When he is not available, Seth Hollander will show you this stuff too. He taught Mario for a couple of years and also teaches on Skype through MobileMusicTeacher.com
sweeet thanks
woah, he can talk lol
barely, haha
MrAfox4 total so cal accent, style
YAY MARIo
OMG the background is so cheesy! So badass lol. Cool lesson too just what I'm looking for.
This shit is hard.
3 shots!!!
wow... I'm able to play all of these (not at speed) but the second one with the 8-12-14 stretch on the high e? holy cow...
This is first time Ive hear him talk
Lol is this guy constantly permafried? Love his playing and his music!
mario got himself a new axe
WOOO! Imma study this religiously now! :D
