Between Rakwana and Deniyaya is the Rakwana-Deniyaya road, a beautiful secluded road with 10 elbow bends in the midst of towering trees known as Little Eighteen Bends between the hills and waterfalls through the Springwood estate.
Suriyakanda, at a height of 850 meters above sea level, is another beautiful village. For some people, memories of the past come to mind when Suriyakanda is mentioned.
If you are coming here from Ratnapura or Badulla area, there is a small tea garden on the right side of the road when you come to Rakwana via Kahawatta from Pelmadulla and then there is a name board about Morning Side in the middle of the road.
From there, along a very dilapidated and difficult mountain road, You can reach Morning Side by paying 7 KM. Also, if you are coming from Galle, Matara area, you can come to Suriyakanda via Deniya and there is a standard road to the south of Suriyakanda area and you can reach this place by traveling along it.
Most of the local and foreign tourists climb Suriya Kanda to visit its beautiful Morning side. It's a very beautiful area, so definitely visit it one day❤️. It is a road named for bike rides.🏍️🛵

රක්වාන සහ දෙනියාය අතර ස්ප්‍රින්වුඩ් වතු යාය හරහා කඳු වැටි⛰️, දිය ඇලි🏞️ අතරින් පුංචි දහඅට වංගුව කියා හඳුන්වන ඉතා උස රූස්ස ගස්🌲🌴 මැදින් වැටී ඇති වැලමිටි වංගු 10 කින් සමන්විත ඉතා ලස්සන හුදකලා මාර්ගක් වන රක්වාන-දෙනියාය මාර්ගයයි. මෙහි ඉහලට ඇදෙන විට මුහුදු මට්ටමේ සිට මීටර් 850ක උසින් පිහිටි සූරියකන්ද යනු තවත් සුන්දර ගම් පෙදෙසකි. සූරියකන්ද කිව්වම සමහර අයට නම් අතීත මතකයන් සිහියට එයි.
මෙහෙ එනවනම් රත්නපුර සිට හෝ බදුල්ල ප‍්‍රදේශයේ සිට පැමිණෙන අයට පැල්මඩුල්ලෙන් කහවත්ත හරහා රක්වානට පැමිණ රක්වානේ සිට සූරියකන්දට පැමිණෙන විට මාර්ගයේ දකුණු පසින් කුඩා තේ වත්තක් මැද හිමිදිරි පෙදෙස ගැන නාම පුවරුවකි. එතැන් සිට ඉතා අබලන් දුෂ්කර කඳුකර මගක් ඔස්සේ කි.මී. 7ක් ගෙවමින් හිමිදිරි පෙදෙසට ළඟා විය හැකිය.එමෙන්ම ගාල්ල,මාතර ප‍්‍රදේශයේ සිට පැමිණෙනවානම් දෙනියාය හරහා සූරියකන්දට පැමිණ සූරියකන්ද ප‍්‍රදේශයේ දකුණු පෙදෙසට වන්නට සම්මත මගක් තිබෙන අතර ඒ ඔස්සේ ගමන් කිරීමෙන් මෙම පෙදෙසට ලගාවිය හැක.
බොහෝමයක් දේශීය මෙන්ම විදේශීය සංචාරකයින් සූරිය කන්ද තරනය කරනුයේ එහි ඇති අලංකාර ප්‍රදේශයක් වන හිමිදිරි
