✨ Unboxing + First Impression Review - Moxi Jack Strawberry ✨
Hallu hallu happy happy new year to all!!!! 💛✨
I shot this video late last December but only found time to edit and upload now. Apologies. 😅
Anyways! Here are more comments on the skates:
1. VEEEEERY stiff I could barely move. Not sure if I like that feeling but am hoping it changes quite... soon. Haha.
2. So tight fit 🥲 I can feel some soreness when I skate in them for let's say, more than 10 mins. Particularly around the sides of the front of my feet and the part where the top of the boot ends ankle-ish.
3. Skates are soft! Very lightweight as well but the sunlite plates most likely contribute to that.
Overall, I'd def have to skate more on them to really feel the whole setup. Hopefully when parks can open here. 😭 For now I will use it for some jam skating too and try to reach that supposed 10 hour break in needed 😂🤞🏻

I had such a fun time unboxing this because I had no idea as to what to expect lol forgive the incredibly long vid, I just end up rambling sometimes : ) Some additional comments: After skating on them for longer, I noticed there is a ~slightly~ weird feeling of the shoe detaching like I know it won’t because Flaneur...

💘 Hello there 💘 So excited to share the new Chaya skates! These are so BEAUTIFUL and I just love everything about it! Super comfortable even though I still need to break them in for a bit. More comments on the skates as I wasn't able to mention them: 1. Boot material is vinyl, unlike the Deluxe Amber which is PU leather! That's why it felt very different. Hey there it's ya sk8r girl @^▽^@ A lil youtube comeback to give a review on these beautiful Chaya skates! My 2nd pair of skates, but 1st legit one you could say as my first pair were just generic/China skates. 😅 I'll be making a more thorough review/comparison on these skates vs amazon/shopee/lazada made in China skates to further help beginners decide which they want to buy more 😊 Slight disc...

Where'd you get the turtle from?
Wow
super cute setup!! It definitely suits you.
how would you compare Chaya & Bout Betties skates?
I want to try this but would hate to mess up some pricey plates. Wish they provided this as an add on service for plates for those of us who want something extra lol I’m tempted to try this out though (against the advice of the person making my new boot they would be for lol)
I like your socks
where you do shop for your clothes? your outfits are so cute!
Apologies for super late reply! Most of my clothes are honestly just from Shein 😆
Thank you so much. I wanted to do my skates and I found you.
Happy to help! Have fun!! 💓💓
is this good for wide feet?
Definitely yes! :)
When replacing the toe stopper can you use any toe stopper? Or does it have to be Luna brand
Yup as long as it’s an adjustable toe stop! 5/8” size :)
Screw using it as a buttpad I’ll use it as decor
I have to ask Do you like your golden horse or your Moxi jacks better? I usually roll on my Moonlight rollers or Moxi Lollys (used to artistic skate and also have beach bunnys so understand a hard boot and break in period and that I love a softer boot) Wanting to get back into artistic and I park skate but don’t want to get both a GH and a Jack Boot cuz monaaayyy Which do you prefer?
I liked GH for artistic skating more! It felt comfier and more intact for artistic jumps etc. I honesty just don’t like their company etiquette so resold mime and won’t be buying from them again. 😅
@@SakuCruisin thank you for replying and your honesty
I like your socks
Awesome job customizing your skates! I also love your hair color. It goes great with your skin tone 💖
Aw thank you so much that’s so kind of you 🥺💓
Hii im usually size 37 when i buy shoes in local stores in PH should i get the size 37 as well??
Make sure to measure your exact CM size. It’s the best way to buy skates because skate brands have different size charts ☺️
Hi! These are gorgeous! How long did sk8ratz took to send these to you? Thinking about getting ones but I'm very impatient
I think it took 2 months! If I remember it correctly 😅
Love your unboxing videos! Do you still like the luna skates and how did they hold up? What’s your go-to skate now? I’m a beginner and trying to decide between the luna, moonlights, sure-grip boardwalks and chaya elites. I want skates that’ll still be good after the “beginner phase” lol! I’m planning on doing dance skating and maybe some outdoor cruising, but nothing intense.
Thank you! 💗 And yes still absolutely love em 🥰 The only downside I've ever encountered with it is my feet get numb a few mins while using it but after another few mins it goes away 😂 No idea why tbh 😆 Comparing with those other skates, I do feel like Lunas are the most versatile for me. I never got into my moonlights that much it just didn't feel right imo! Chaya elites I loved them but only at the start bc when I started learning more, I didn't think the elites were the perfect fit for more anymore too like I somehow outgrew them in a skating sense. I've never tried the boardwalks but I do think it's somehow the same as Lunas just more for wider feet? But overall, if I'm not skating for convenience (I use Flaneurz mostly now because I like being able to take them on and off) my Lunas are my go to for comfortable dance skating and casual cruising definitely! I don't think you'll regret getting those babies 🥰💗
@@SakuCruisin wow thank you so much for your detailed response, it was exactly what I needed! How comfortable are the luna’s and are they good for wide feet? & would you say the size chart for the luna is accurate? Im about 23.6 cm (im a size EU38 in chaya elites)
@@laylalakhlif5818 Sorry for the late response! I found this thread that might be helpful for you since you’re around the same size. Hope it helps! www.reddit.com/r/Rollerskating/comments/m1v2sj/help_needed_with_size_luna_skates_vs_chaya/
I must know more about this turtle! 🐢
The turtle is the best buttsaver for sure 😆💘
I love the lilac color but with the time they look very diferent. So pink will stay prettier for longer i think.
I think the lighter skates do tend to have that problem in the long run 🤔 I ended up keeping the strawberry jacks rather than the lilacs too 😁
You can change the bolt stop to a jam plug? Can you make a video? I have these same skates and I love them.
what would you recommend more the chaya deluxes or elites and why ? im having a hard time deciding
Aaawww your whole outfit is so cute
Hello friend what kind of socks are they that you have on
which do you recommend more the moxis or the chaya melrose elites?
Jacks for park/aggressive skating, chaya elite for more jam/cruise!
what socks should i use for this?
I like to use thick socks! :)
oh thank you
@@SakuCruisin what color of thick socks do you like white socks to
where did u get your knee pads from?
Shopee just search pink knee guards! If you're not in Asia, search on Amazon 🥰

I have a question about the sizing with Luna Skates. I'm torn between ordering the 40s and the 41s, but I'm leaning toward the 41s. I'm usually a size 9 in women's shoes. I measured my feet with socks on and they're around 25.8 cm. Another time I measured them and they were 25.4, so they are somewhere in between that. I get confused about whether I need to go with the "internal dimensions" or the "suitable up to foot size" measurements. Size 40's internal dimensions are 25.8 cm (suitable up to foot size 24.8cm) which would be right at my foot length. Size 41's internal dimensions would be 26.5 cm (suitable up to foot size 25.5 cm) which would leave me about .3- 1cm extra space in the boot. Is that too much extra space? Do you recommend going a little bigger than my usual size and getting the 41s? Hope that wasn't too confusing and thanks for your video!
Hi love! Apologies for the late response! To answer your question, your best fit according to their size chart would be 40 25.8 cm using inside dimension. The suitable up to is not what you base on! :) If you go 41 it'll be 26.5 so that's waaay too big haha hope that helps and happy skating x
The link takes you to Shopee and a message that says "this product does not exist" Walmart apparently sells it online, but it's hard to figure out the size as they also have turtle knee and elbow pads so the $26 price shown may not actually apply to the butt cushion. It looks like the adult cushion is $85
Hi! Yes it seems after a year a bunch of the local skaters here have bought it out 😅 There is however a bunch on Amazon! Just search turtle butt pad 😊
Thanks for the video!!
Out of curiosity do you think sanding then first would have helped at all with the paint sticking?
I heard abt this too and I actually tried on my other skates! It def made it rougher but nooot sure with it sticking more or not. So far don't see much of a diff I guess but I mean if you have the sandpaper and are DIYing in general, I guess why not 😆
I like your socks do you wear thick socks all of the time with your skates
Quick Question:. I am stuck between Chaya Melrose Deluxe Roller Skates in Cobalt Blue or Moxi Beach Bunny Skates in Peirwinkle. I am not a beginner skater nor intermediate kind off in the middle I know the basics that I learned on a toy skate but its time to upgrade. I am looking for a skate that is good for a little bit of recreational skating, life style skating, cruising on the street and some tricks then and there not to crazy. I will mostly be using then outside in my neighborhood. I want a comfortable boot but stiff enough for ankle support. Something that will last me a long time and have a good toe stopper as well. If you have any other recommendations feel free to tell me.
My personal opinion, I've tried my friend's beach bunnies and they killed my feet LOL they were way too stiff for my liking. On the other hand, my friends love theirs especially with some break in time. They said it feels very stable for all of the skating you mentioned. I think it will just depend on your preference and the best way to decide is if you can try them on in person. The Chaya's do have good ankle support but they are not stiff. They feel supportive but add pillows around your ankles if that makes sense hahaha but since you mentioned you are already above the basics, the deluxe might not be too suited for you because I felt that way after improving on my skating thus selling my Chaya's. I have a few other suggestions such as the Chaya Melrose Premium which have somewhat the same look as Deluxe except as mentioned "premium" with better parts and stiffer boot. Also heavier as far as I can tell so will be more suited for advanced skating and not just basics. I can't vouch for them as much as never tried but can vouch for Chaya skates itself, they've never failed me haha Another one are Luna skates. For the skating you mentioned, those are exactly what I do on my Lunas and more! I feel like they're the best middle ground skates for everything without being too stiff and not stiff enough. I especially love them for jam skating because it doesn't hurt my feet after skating for a long time and cruising also feels very comfortable. Some other good skates that are good for above the basic skaters I've encountered you can research on - Jackson Vista, Sure Grip Boardwalks, Crazy Evoke. If you have a way of trying these skates on in person, you should go for it to really see which is best. If not, I would most likely pick the Lunas! I find myself picking that the most out of my skates when I want to do some chill and jam skating. :) Hope that helps! Feel free to ask more if you need x
@@SakuCruisin Thanks so much for the advice ! Will definitely be looking into the other skates that you mentioned!
Do you think the Elite will be good as well?, I saw your video on it and love the colors on the sherbet lime.
@@giselleneaves5917 Elite feels somewhat the same to the Deluxe in terms of the boot actually. Just lighter because it has the Shari plate while Deluxe have aluminum plates making them slightly heavier :)
Please can you share the details of the wheels and laces you put on the Chaya skates?
What is the size?
This is 52 cm accdg to where I got! :)
Is the toe box same size on Jack boots to Lollys? Are Jack boots same narrow width in toes as Lollys?
From what I've seen and heard, a lot say that both is better for narrow feet. I have narrow as well but because of the cushion on Jacks right now they feel veeery tight so I would say the width of Jacks are narrower compared to Lollys but I am thinking it's just because they still need a break in period and will adjust after that!
Is the colour the same as the Barbie collab? Also I’m thinking of getting another jack boot cause I just love it so much but I’m not an excellent skater yet so I gotta practice more!
I think so yes! Definitely around that shade :) They totally are lovable right! And just toooo cute hehe I'm sure you're an excellent skater in your own way 💞
The pink-ish one seems to be more resistant, so that one
Pink supremacy 💖
I like her socks are they thick socks
I just pulled the trigger and bought the lilac Jack mounted on sunlites! (I have the lilac lolly but I’m selling them now lol) I need more support plus I love the new leopard lining! Thanks for this review!
Yayyy happy new skates!! Hehe. You'll definitely love the support on this especially coming from soft lolly! Ty for watching and happy holidays! x

Sweet like u hehe 🍬🍭
omg i've been deciding what skates to get >< and i think your review really helped! Was thinking of chaya elite sanaa or deluxe idk if i just want skating to be a casual hobby kasi pero so far i'm really enjoying it altho still kinda struggling with how to go ate and find fellow skaters ahhhk this lockdown made me shy HAHA, anyways thank you for this! Hope to get a pari soon💘
I would recommend going for the chaya elite because it's got all the upgrades you need for beginner skates! I personally like it being very lightweight and the adjustable toe stops really puts it out of the other beginner skates that have non adjustable. I used my elites for a few months and learned a lot of things with them with no injuries hehe Although luna skates I feel is more in the middle of beginner and advanced so if you don't want to spend on other skates in the future, Luna skates are a very good investment :)
@@SakuCruisin thank you so much for this! I'm curious with the weight, I went sa physical store recently and ang laki nung weight difference nga between the two. Performance wise what's the significance of the weight how will it affect the movement and so on? I think i'm past the beginner phase? Since i'm quite comfortable with the movement and learning tricks na rin atm!
@@jameamae Tbh with the chaya before trying other skates, I loved the lightweight feeling of it but right after I got sort of heavier skates I could no longer skate with the chayas 😂 It might just be my preference but for some reason I liked the heavier skates because I feel like my feet are more “planted” and somewhat helps me steady myself more so I don’t lose a lot of balance? If that makes sense! Since you mentioned you are past the beginner phase, I think you might be more comfortable with Lunas because chayas might become too light for you in the future (few more months of skating). But at the end of the day it will depend on which one you are more comfortable with (lighter or heavier feeling) when skating!
@@SakuCruisin hii! I got the lunas! And grabe fell in love kagad comparing from my first skates which was shopee skates HAHA. Thank you so much for your responses highly appreciate them🥰 excited to progress with these skates!

Did your skates come with a skate tool? I saw on someone else’s review that theirs came with a skate tool, just wondering if they all come with it.
Yes, it's supposed to come with an allen key for the toe stops :)
@@SakuCruisin Would you rather use the Luna or Moonlight??
@@xojennysp Tbh, Lunas! I like how they feel more. Moonlights were a little too "loose" on me and when I wear Lunas I think I'm able to do more skate moves :)
@@SakuCruisin Thanks for sharing! I was really stuck between Moonlights (Cosmic Quartz) & Lunas (Moon Rose). Moonlight for cosmetic looks & Lunas for performance, but I ended up going for the Luna Skates. So I’m currently waiting for them to come in the mail.. impatiently. Lol 😂
@@xojennysp Haha it will get there soon!! I hope you love em as much as I do and enjoy all your skate progress 😍
Does the boot stiffer than the zodiac skates? I have zodiac and I'm planning to switch to more bendy and flexible than my current sk8s.
Hi! I haven’t tried the zodiac skates but I heard they’re from the same manufacturers of moonlights which I had and I would say they are softer than Lunas :) Luna skates at the front and ankle part are a bit stiffer (just right, not super stiff) while moonlight/zodiac is overall soft. I think Lunas would be a good middle ground for the skates you want 😄
