I went to Hampshire College (which is a short drive down the road from town center in South Amherst) and even though I preferred Northampton overall (and that's where I lived for awhile after graduating) Food For Thought Books & Rao's Roast were two of my FAVORITE places in the ENTIRE Pioneer Valley area to hang out at.
My heart is filled with so much joy as I watch this. I went to UMASS Amherst. I remember the poetry/book readings I attended at Amherst Books, and Food For Thought.
Thank you I can keep looking at this and see where it that I left my heart but even if I spot it in this film it would not do it justice to take it home.
Maybe it's just your vantage point... Your Amherst & Umass video makes the place look eerily post apocalyptic & deserted..Almost like a Russian town😂..
I left UMass Amherst 15 years ago. I still miss this town.

Food For Thought was my FAVORITE bookstore in the entire Pioneer Valley. Alas, it is no more 😭💔
I miss Amherst. I stayed there for a year and it was the best time of my life . I’m probably going to go for a visit in November
