I used to listen to TMBG's Apollo 18 and John Henry albums over and over in high school. It was cool to hear this 1st set which was centered around John Henry. Thanks so much for this. My phone camera was broken the night of this, meaning I couldn’t film any of it without it looking blurry and awful. I know my dad was able to capture some footage, but had to leave after the first set.

I am 45 years old now and remember seeing Buddy at Summerfest growing up as a kid in Milwaukee year after year. The fact that is is still out touring and entertaining is amazing. The fact that he still comes off stage and plays through the crowd because the smiles on people’s faces still brings him joy and drive to do it the next day in the next city is even more amazing….

absolutely agreed, and a backing band who were all scouted from a middle school talent show. so much potential wasted. even the vibes at the philly show were off, mike was seeming pissed, perhaps that he was playing for 1/4 of a room upstairs while bob dylan was downstairs. in between song breaks you would hear the echoes of the dylan gig downstairs
