The Lisa Marie Experience & Trickster
United Kingdom
Приєднався 29 бер 2018
The Lisa Marie Experience, which is a collaboration between Neil Hinde and Dean Marriot, became one of the U.K.'s most in-demand remixers during the late '90s following the duo's breakthrough production, "Keep on Jumpin'." Other productions followed, but the duo became more acclaimed for its remixing than its production. Besides producing and remixing, the Lisa Marie Experience also garnered a celebrated reputation as a DJing duo, showcased most notably on the 1998 Sound of the Underground UK mix album on Mastertone. This channel showcases their productions, remixes, dj mixes, videos, tracks they played while djing, influences, inspirations and some random items. While they no longer produce, this channel continues to evolve by uploading music and connected items relevant to The Lisa Marie Experience. For all things LME and more please subscribe!

Big Nuphonic tune! Crispin J Glover with a big electro funk house number. It worked on both the cooler dance floors as well as the more pumping dance floors. And still sounds fresh today. Huge! #motif #crispinjglover #nuphonic #oldschool #clubclassics #lisamarieexperience #lme #housemusic

Sorry for the absence recently but I’m back on it again. Usually, I like to upload the artwork of the actual vinyl copy that I own but on this occasion I couldn’t find it on the internet, and with my vinyl collection not with me I was unable to take any photos. I suspect the version that I have might be a bootleg copy. Anyway, it’s still a tune, a re-edit of an early 80’s disco workout of which...

Phunkie Souls - Tha Music (Floats Your Cares Away) CLASSIC FUNKY HOUSE STRICTLY RHYTHM

Amidst the height of disco sampled House tracks there were some great and not so great attempts. This was a great one, a nice sample which I've never actually looked into where the sample is from, I shall rectify that! I'm fairly sure this was a big one at Orchis for us. Eventually, the disco sampling wore itself out but not before many great tracks like this were made. #phunkiesouls #thamusic ...

Big tune for me in Sheffield at our residency at Orchis. Loads of people have had a go with this sample but this is the best one for me. Still sounding fresh! Turn it up loud! #daddysfavourite #ifeelgoodthingsforyou #patricerushden #lisamarieexperience #lme #clubclassics #discohouse #oldschool
Dance Fever - A Woman In Love (John Acquaviva's U Ain't Really Disco Mix) DISCO HOUSE! OLD SCHOOL!

This is a great track but unfortunately the pressing quality was a little poor. It didn’t stop me playing it though. Nice use of Dexter Wansel’s Life On Mars sample which appears on quite a lot of house tracks. I got my break djing in Nottingham in the early 90s and I remember playing this at many a club there and it never failed. It can work as an opener because of the subdued intro or mid set...
Dave Angel - Funk Music (DJ Tonka Remix) FUNKY HOUSE, CLASSIC HOUSE, FLOOR FILLER, OLD SCHOOL

Great remix on this one, Dj Tonka appeared on many things in the 90's. DJ Tonka was always worth checking out as he was capable of tunes like this. This came out around the time we had our residency at Orchis in Sheffield and this was a big one for me there, it was a great little club and we had some top nights in there, this always reminds me of there when I hear it. #daveangel #djtonka #funkm...

This was a nice little set opener, and depending on the crowd it also worked peak time. I also played it over a number of years, it has a timeless sound and I would probably still play it now if I still dj’ed. Still sounds great, a nice bit of proper funky house! #alexneril #planetfunk #funkyhouse #oldschool #housemusic #clubclassics #lme #lisamarieexperience Discogs - www.discogs.com/master/19...
Orbital - Midnight (Sasha Mix) OLD SCHOOL BIG TUNE!!! UNDERGROUND CLASSIC
Переглядів 212Рік тому
Sasha has been responsible for many a good tune and remix but in my opinion this is the best thing he’s done. I know people will have other opinions but for me this ticks all the boxes. It’s deep but yet euphoric and has an all encompassing sound, it fills your ears, the room, the club and whatever space you hear it in. It lends a lot to the original but some of the best remixes just tweak the ...

Oomph! They don’t get much more solid than this! From a great album but this is the standout track for me. I remember playing this at the Fez Club in Sheffield. For those that don’t know, the Fez club used to be Occasions, which is my favourite ever club, the place that shaped my youth and taste in music. For me, it’s a legendary place so to be able to dj there was a big thing for me. The dj se...

This is a weird track for me as in before I listen to it my perception is that it's only ok, nothing special, but after listening to it it gets stuck in my head and I can't stop singing it for ages. Then after time I go back to the perception that it's only ok and nothing special. Despite this weird view, I used to play this loads and it was a constant in my record box and sets. Don't be fooled...
Michelle Sweeney - This Time (Ramp Club Mix)

I remember playing this one a lot. Although I seem to remember playing more of a dubby version with less vocals but I can’t seem to find a version like that so maybe I’m wrong. Nevertheless, it definitely had the same riff and vocals in it so I guess I’m splitting hairs. It worked very well on my dance floors and I get a rather nice nostalgia feeling listening to it. #michellesweeney #thistime ...

This one got some hammer from me. Again, it got played a lot in Germany as it was tough enough for them but not too tough for me and it was different to the hard stuff they were used to hearing. I did play this in my UK sets too, the combination of big vocals and a tough dub suited my style perfectly back then. I also liked that it wasn’t particularly a big track and slipped under the radar giv...
Radical Nomads - Watch Yourself (Warehouse Mix)

Still sticking with the tougher tracks, I don’t think I ever played this in my UK sets, it was solely played in Germany. It’s got a DJ Pierre vibe but it’s actually Roy Davis Jr. It’s heavy and relentless but sounds great on a big system! I guess it was a bit different for Nervous Records too, my experience of Nervous was always more of straight up house sound, this one felt heavier than what I...

Incedibly underrated track from the 90s. This and thier remix of CeCe Peniston blew the 90s up for me. Thanks for uploading. Great choice!!
This song is pure magic is amazing
Can't remember what it is, but I've got a 12" that has this exact same piano tune. Driving me mad! EDIT Ignore that - it's Canrino by T-Coy, and it's one I WISH I had on 12"! ua-cam.com/video/97vO3qvuQqc/v-deo.html
Hello 😶🌫️
Merci pour la découverte de ce banger 🎉💯
Norman Jay, Middlesbrough Empire. ‘98. Went OFF when he dropped this.
@@c4dag would've liked to be there to see it.
Üffffff
Konami made such a special selection for the first songs licensed and featured on DDR, this one in particular brought an indescribable magic to the list. Still a beautiful remake after all this time and one of the songs I always select when I play that mix. Would be a lot of fun to know your work process from that time.
Awww that's nyce
At 1:23 does anyone know where the echo-y vocal sample comes from? It sounds like "ladies and gentleman recall" or something...
Should of done a dub mix with more of that ah ah vocals shame
GOOD GOOD ENDING 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 THANK YOU

Been looking for this for YEARS! thank you!
pure class vibes where do i get this from as a music file
that was a top label for house back in the day
This used to smash casa locos dancefloor in leeds ❤❤
hey thanks for sharing you awsome experience and this even more awesome track, I just bought it super cheap!!
Timeless... Always goosebumps, 27 years after the first listen.... Great work guys!!
Thanks. One of my favourites and something a bit different to what we usually did.
Choooooon
I think this was my first LME purchase. I always loved how the last third of the mix switched up the chords completely. Something i would try to emulate in my own productions.
On the rare occasion I had a crowd that would tolerate an 8 minute remix of a song they didn't know, I would play this to death.
When I used to DJ on vinyl this was one of those tracks that I loved but found impossible to mix in and out of. So much funky percussion throwing my ear off.
Love the random percussion clinks and clonks on this remix. One of my favourites.
06:04 How closely in time was this produced to the Angelheart remix, since this section is so similar?
This sounds really sped up to me?
I thought I was an LME fan, but have just stumbled on this channel are there are so many remixes I had no existed. What a rush!
I'm happy you've found us. There's almost everything we've done on here, I'm missing a few bits but slowly but surely I will complete it.
LME were so ahead of their time. I literally hear tunes like this in clubs in 2024
This is one of my favourites.
Amen, Jesus loves you!
I hammered this to death in my sets. Always went down an absolute storm. Thanks LME. X
Thanks for playing it.
@@thelisamarieexperiencetric2111 LME was probably my fave remix and dance outfit. I loved so much of your stuff. Far too many to list. Such happy memories. Thank you so much. Any chance you could post the Dub Mix of Kinane So Fine?
Oh my this takes me back. I hammered the Dub mix of this and played it in nearly every set I did for about four years! Thanks for sharing guys. Love it. (That "Do it do it do it do it...DO IT EVERY TIME!!!!)
One of my favourites of ours.
@@thelisamarieexperiencetric2111 If you ever get the chance to post the Dub Mix of this I would be really grateful. An absolute banger! Used to have the places rocking whenever I played it.
I hear the lasers from London Xpress. What a fun time to be alive back then. Not a cellphone in sight. Dancing all night long. I saw many a sunrise.
My friend Domingo loved this song. I do too. Boom in the room and the build up is worth it.
Such a big tune!
Another song that fills my head with fabulous memories of my 20s. Fun times that I will never forget.
I have a fond memory of playing this as an encore track at the end of the night. The club went absolutely nuts, I think I tell the story in the description.
Wow, I love this song!!! Been 30 years since I first heard it. Amazing still in 2024! Really clear recording, too. This song inspired me to learn to beat match and DJ. I did it in the local clubs for a few years. Some of the best years of my life. Thank you for posting this. You brought back some amazing memories.
It was a big one for me back in our heyday. Please check out the rest of our channel, maybe you'll find some more forgotten gems.
SUPER ¡¡¡
keep on jumping 😁
I’m trying to recreate this effect on the sample is it a phase and flange or just Phase? It’s bloody genius and hard to recreate 😢
So glad to see some attention being shone on this masterpiece... never seen so many jaws drop simultaneously at that piano riff whenever and wherever played... Surely this is worthy of a new cut for a new generation guys... the new generation could do with a moment like this !
Great Story, can totally believe that. I had something similar once with james Holden. Just vey nice people who seem happy of what they are doing! :)
I remember now - this was the original mix we did in the Sheffield studio before talking it to Bluechip in Stafford to get it mixed. We had a version of it printed on an acetate and must have got it Whitehead. John Barlow suggested we go to Bluechip for mix downs and from that point we started to go there and lug all our gear there every time we had to do mix. They sounded bloody good though - Rich was a genius at mix downs for us! Such a tune this - it gives me goosebumps! :-)
Yeah Graeme Park / Tom Wainright and Ally Whitehead all played the Acetates of this to death, the original was SUCH an iconic tune, that modulation effect was immense and set it apart from anything around at that time. You did a modulation effect on Nootripic - I See only you remix what was released, if only it could have been kept in this aswell
Hoy encontré el vinilo que joya !
Right tune this
