Google is always a good place to start and research breeders. I knew a couple of Mali breeders. Insta and facebook can be a source of information also. Check reviews and always see parents to see temperaments and genetics of dogs.

Yes his head flicks 99% of the time are so accurate. This trail was amazing I think because most of the air scent had dissipated he had to use ground scent more!

Yes, not sure why he struggled, I think mainly due to wind and busy traffic blowing the scent everywhere. I should have picked up on his indication looking down the road!

I think kaiser could benefit from a pair of Rex specs i know of two websites that sell them one of the is called Von Wolf K9 and the is called slickers dog house. From Von Wolf K9 you can only get them in black but they are cheaper than on slickers but you can several colours from slickers

Yeah, he has a stable temp very confident and large for a Mali, he’s healthy and no issues, if I could find a suitable bitch I would love to breed him for a pup. Although I’m conscious that there are many Mali in shelters due to owners not realising the work that is required ❤️

Getting them to use their brain will tire a Mali out more. Doing a scent detection session for 10 minutes with the dog is often better than a long walk 🙏🏼

Thank you, kaiser is so bright he sometimes knows where the trail is and will go off sniffing other dog smells and wee which is annoying, I then tell him to work on and he gets back on trail! I think the trails are so easy for him and that’s we he goes of sniffing, for me it’s about working out the difference between sniffing for wee and sniffing the trails. I use a Mantrailing app which tracks runners and dogs so you can overlay them and see how your dog does 🙏🏼

What harness would you recommend to a beginner

The app is called ‘The Mantrailing app’ it has an orange top part, black dog trailing and a green bottom half with black letters with Mantrailing across it.

www.k-9.lv any harness by this company as they are solid, comfortable for dog and such a great harness, my orange harness is two years old and still going strong. I plan to get another just for a colour change 🤣 p.s thanks for always engaging with my posts, it’s really appreciated 🙏🏼👊🏼
