This is still the best game i have ever seen. The pace of the game was just extreme, for the time, and the attacks just rolled straight toward the goals with so many fantastic built-ups... from both sides really. That Danish team played a lot of great matches from around 83 to 86, but this was probably the best, because the opponent were so amazingly good aswell. To me, this was the two best teams in the world at that time, and this game would have been worthy of a world cup final. God i miss how football was played back then.

I'm Irish, but you have to applaud this magnificent Danish side at the time. The Soviet Union and Denmark were my two favourite sides around then, outside of my Ireland. We were a beaten docket by then. We had no hope of qualifying as we were too far behind Denmark. You could see the players had given up. A sad end to Eoin Hand's reign. Our chance had gone in 1982. Denmark were so exciting to watch back then, but they were defensively naive, as they conceded a lot too.

What an unbelievable result. Come on B.1903.
