Hi this Channel is about us travelling around in our 1994 2 berth caravan in School holidays. We are new to the caravan world so come with us on the journey. We will be looking at a new caravan or buy and renovate our own van into a camper van in the next 6/12 months as well as taking photographs and videos as we go around reviewing campsites. We can't wait for our next trip away. We also like doing days out to various places including railways exhibitions, abandoned buildings and sites and places of interest. As well as that we also like DIY and Tech so in the winter we will be redecorating our living room as well making my office under the stairs as it the only place to put it. We are now also moving into building own model railways we will be filming these and hopefully taking them to future exhibitions, we are also renovating our garden which will be a challenge which we will share.
Please subscribe it's free and give a thumbs up that would really much appreciated.
thank you

Beautiful scenery!
Thankyou the layouts were really good 😊
Beautiful scenery!
We really enjoyed this exhibition some great layouts 😊
Sehr schöne Eindrücke!
Beautiful scenery!
A darn sight better offering than the Retford show last saturday which was abysmal.
The layouts were very good definitely and the whole location was great plenty car parking and decent refreshments 😊
hallo nice layout model mooie modelbaan en module s nice video to. groet ian vrom holland
Thankyou there were some great layouts 😊
I stood and watched Netherwood Sidings for quite a while, very impressed with its detail,a very nice tribute to the Woodhead route back in the 70s and early 80s.
It was very good we liked that one too 😊
Is there a manufacturer making the trains for the Volk’s Electric Railway in Brighton? It’s a short line that runs along the seafront from Aquarium Station to Black Rock Station just outside the Marina.
😊
By the way, I happen to be building a different layout for myself. It has to be small enough to be used in my living room and put in the boot area of my camper.
We are building a layout which is a decent size but can be stored as it’s in sections. One of our sons is building a layout in a suit case and the other doing one in a pizza box 😊
So far, I’ve enjoyed watching this video. I have seen several different layouts with different levels of scenery, all of which good.
This exhibition was great, there was plenty of variety on show 😊
Some gorgeous locomotives for the British Steel layout.
😊
Nice Morris Minor on the open truck!! Not my kind of classic car, but many of my friends love them!! I can’t drive a manual car anymore so the Minor is not for me.
The layouts were great 😊
One of the buildings looks very similar to those I passed in the Dordogne area.
😄
Gorgeous French layout!! What part of France is it?
I’m not sure will look it up 😊
Great, thank you.
@@mariodelarena1880 no problem we really enjoyed visiting 😄
Typical Swiss. Birds coughing in the backround !. Marvelous. Dave
@@davidhewson8605 😀
It's great!Beautiful sceneries!
Definitely they were some great layouts 😊
A nice set of layouts in various scales. I have subbed and here is a like from me. Thanks for the video.
Absolutely no problem we love making the videos thankyou for the sub 😊
Pity the steam freight didn’t have sound on on it!!
Some lovely models!! I particularly love the French one because it looks like where our caravan was used at the end of its life.
DETAIL YES - BUT NO COMPREHENSION OF REAL RAILWAY OPERATION !!! No comprehension of signalling as seen at 5:36 these signals are back to front ! LMS (1923-48) BR type Mk1 coaches, with BR First class yellow bands added 1963. This is toy train set fantasy land. Colour light signals on the wrong side of the line at 15:30 And best of all - curved catenary at 32:27 which is impossible in reality. You have to use what are called "Pull off" to get catenary to go around tram type bends, parts available from Sommerfeldt. Each section of wire has to be straight, you cant bend the real thing, it's called the Laws of Physics !!! And this layout appears to be using Swiss signals rather than German ones. High quality fully functioning German signals (by Railino) have been available for Decades. And double deck Berlin buses in the Allgau (Bavaria) !!! Further it's definately not avisable to use "Clip together" track systems on ANY layout never mind exhibition ones. They cause serious electrical resistance issues. And brakes. At 27:47 you have an "unfitted" (no brakes) 16ton mineral wagon between what appears to be a Vacuum fitted Class 08, and two early Airbraked hoppers !! Steam era "BR grey wagons had no brakes except a handbrake, while red oxide painted wagons were vacuum fitted. And the order of wagons even when being shunted was covered by complex rules to avoid killing people. And why anyone with an exhibition layout is using "toy train set" couplings, when real life type fully functioning couplings have been around for decades, can only be explained by pure ignorance of what is available across the World, despite the existence of the Internet. Are there ANY proper "Model Railways" left in Britain, or is it now all ignorant "Toy train sets", full of unrealistic "gimmicks" ?? Not impressed.
You must be fun at parties - it’s an exhibition where if each layout was realistic and the same it would be boring. I’d rather see different interpretations that have character. But I suppose each to their own 🤷♂️
Why is it that 00 and H0 use the same track but the H0 is a little larger?
Wrong way round. HO (3.5mm) scale is smaller than OO (4mm). 4mm was originally adopted a century ago because British stock, being smaller than continental stock, could not accommodate the large electric motors of the time (at least that is the standard excuse). A hundred years later we are still running 00 on narrow gauge track!
Well seen, my dear chap!! You have an excellent eye for videography!!
Thankyou we do go around and film and photograph the best angles of the layouts that we can. Each layout is not going to be every one’s cup of tea but I think the time and effort spent building these layouts great 😊
I want to model a small heritage railway in Brighton. It’s the Volk’s Electric Railway that runs from Aquarium Station to Black Rock Station. It’s only a mile and three quarters long, but it demonstrated that electricity could be used for the transportation of people and freight.
Good idea 😊
For me, it’s got to be a lovely layout if it’s done in 00 gauge. The first layout most definitely was.
😊
Beautiful and good detailled scenes!
@@susannestoffel2534 There are some great scenes 😄
Some absolutely gorgeous layouts with glorious scenery and exceptional detail showing how many different layouts there are!!
My old Dad’s Army layout is, slowly but surely, being turned into a layout depicting the Volk’s Electric Railway in Brighton. It runs along the seafront between Aquarium Station and Black Rock Station, from which I am able to walk to the flat I rent on the West Concourse of Brighton Marina. I use the Volk’s Electric Railway daily during periods when I stay on the Marina or nearby.
What do I do at these events? The answer to that is that I use the events as locations at which to purchase new and used equipment for my layout. My layout used to be a Dad’s Army layout, but in the form of a heritage railway.
As a UA-cam user who enjoys watching model railways, I think that model railway exhibitions are very important. I attend three a year, those in Whitewebbs Museum of Transport, the Hoddesdon Model and Railway Club and the London Festival of Railway Modelling.
Well made layouts, reliable trains, gorgeous scenery!! What more could a video watcher want?!!
That was two hours and a few minutes of wonderful video!! Well done!! You make tremendous videos of great model railway exhibitions!!
Thankyou we really enjoy making these videos 😄
You may be wondering why I would think of going over to NG7. The whole thing is that the Volk’s Electric Railway is a narrow gauge railway built by a gentleman named Eric Volk, who was interested in what electricity could do for us. Just to prove that electricity could propel 45 passengers on a train, he built a railway line alongside Brighton Beach. I think that it’s the only short railway that has never been modelled.
@@Madonsteamrailways I think it’s great to take inspiration from all railway enthusiasts and it’s great to learn and get ideas 😀
I love the Japanese layout with all its quirky features. It’s a work of art in many respects. Yes!! I certainly DO consider railway modelling to be an art in itself. But it’s also a wonderful hobby!!
As I said earlier, I have seen several wonderful layouts in this video. I’m impressed by the workmanship that goes into creating a layout and sincerely hope to get to some more exhibitions next year other than the shows that I always attend.
We really enjoy visiting exhibitions they give us loads of ideas and we really enjoy talking to various people while visiting 😊
I’m currently trying to get the latest Bachmann system to work for me by trying to model the Volk’s Electric Railway in Brighton. It was, and still is, the first ever electric railway, the trains being made in the Victorian era. The track has been relaid several times over the years.
We are currently our layout too a preservation line 😊
When I was a boy, I had the original N Gauge, known by Lone Star as treble 0. It was pioneering in the sixties, when Treblo Trains were made!! I had both push along and electric trains on my layout.

I wonder if I could get Bachmann to create the trains for the Volk’s Electric Railway. It is the first electric railway in the world and it runs along the seafront at Brighton from Aquarium Station to Black Rock Station. The former is opposite the Sealife Aquarium and the latter is by Brighton Marina.
Would I be right in saying that the layout with the crane is a quarry type design? It’s very interesting to see these designs because they’re of an industrial scene.
Yes it’s a quarry design and there was a few with industrial designs
That was a great winter layout. I’m glad that the owner did it for the steam era rather than totally diesel. Even on heritage railways, there is a mix of steam and diesel!!
There was a great mixture of steam and diesel 😊
There must have been some glorious layouts there!! When was it?
It was Saturday just gone the layouts were great 😊
Wonderful ! Hope all is well with you . Julie
@@JuliePhelanExplore Thankyou, all good thankyou hope you’re ok 😄.
@ yep all good thanks. Enjoy your break
@ Thankyou we will 😄
If one of the large retailers in Sussex got Bachmann to do the trains on the Volk’s Electric Railway, it would be a great thing as I can’t build them myself!! I just don’t have the skills!!
@@Madonsteamrailways 😄
The Ford layout is somewhat similar to the micro layout I have at home!! But my personal idea is to try to model the Volk’s Electric Railway in Brighton.
Some great layouts giving great ideas for a forthcoming layout launch!!
@@Madonsteamrailways Thankyou yes it’s always good to get ideas 😄
By the way, I would appreciate it if you could inform the owner of the maintenance yard layout that Gronks should only be used at a scale speed of 15 mph. This information was found on the cab door of a Gronk in use at the Epping Ongar Railway.
You have shown us so many wonderful layouts. I’m highly impressed with your videos. Keep up the good work!!
Thankyou so much we are heading out this weekend so more videos will follow 😄
Lovely to see and hear a little J94!! Great little locomotive!! I have two of them in my inaccessible loft!!
The locomotives that run around are great 😊
I see we have a Sodor Syphon!! Pardon my rather crude play on words!!
The Sodor layouts are pretty popular 😄
