When you say that soaked rice requires 1 part rice to 1 part water, do you mean 1 part of soaked rice parts or 1 part of dry rice parts? Because soaked rice is quite a bit more than dry rice.

You got it pretty well, but it is not really authentic as olive oil is not the way to go. Also steps and order are important, and it needs an element of water. Way too much garlic, not enough dried oregano. And no mention of how long you need to leave to rest for the flavours to come out , it needs at least 24 hs in the fridge, specially because of the amount of raw garlic, which needs to be naturally cooked in the salty water and vinegar overtime, otherwise your guests will be burping garlic flavour for days. Authentic chimichurri: - 1-2 tablespoon dried oregano. - 1 tablespoon sweet pepper flakes >> it can be hot but traditional chimichurri uses the sweet pepper flakes version which can't be found in every country. The option here is to maybe use paprika. - 2-3 tablespoon warm water Mix until you create a paste like texture. - Add 1 tablespoon of salt and pepper, mix. - Add 2-3 tablespoon FINELY chopped parsley - Add 1 minced garlic clove - Add 1-2 tablespoon red wine vinegar >> important, it has to be red wine vinegar. - Add 1-2 tablespoons of sunflower oil >> or any other neutral oil, NOT olive oil or other flavoured oils. Mix all and leave in the fridge for at least 24 hours.

Water to rice ratio when cooking is (equal part water to rice). Cover pot with lid to prevent steam from escaping. Bring water to a boil as fast as possible. Once boiling reduce the heat to low. Leave rice steaming for 12 minutes. Once done turn off heat and let steam for 10 minutes. Now open the lid and fluff the rice.

It surprisingly is. There's a huge difference between regular boiled rice and steamed rice. This method is using both methods at once which is quite tricky to get right. You have to time it right so that all water has evaporated by the time the rice is cooked. There is a cheat way though. Boil the rice in lots of water for 10 min. Strain well. Place in microwave container with loose lid and microwave on medium power for 5 min. Cooked then steamed to perfection.

I just seasoned a pan following directions from another channel. I used canola oil and per channels recommendation 410f for 1 hour , cool. I did 8 coats. Pan come out a beautiful golden color. Cooked a couple of eggs , worked great. Cooked steaks tonight, washed pan with soap and water, noticed it was no longer gold, was back to gray and I could smell iron. Correctly surmised that 410f wasn't hot enough. Pan is back in oven again was at 475f, just kicked it up to 500f. Thanks!
