What's up? I just released a crime documentary that I've worked hard on. Your opinions matter to me, so take a look and let me know what you think!
I tried the loop and didn’t work for me😂😂😂
Just can’t read the notes. Need a color that contrasts with the background. Thanks
Can read the notes on screen...
Best video yet
5:55 where is this magical port in the firewall that allows you to run the cable into the cab by your pedals?
Open the hood and look near where the brake pedal should be. There should be a rubber stopper that fills a hole going into the cab and you have to slice a hole through it. If you cant find it, try looking for some air lines that go inside in the same area and squeeze your coax through there.
This video is horrible, you don’t explain which battery is which and the text is close to unreadable. Typical rv owner….dumb as hell
I'm not a rookie but I am a dummie, Thank you 😂😂
I dont know but sometimes I'm a dummy
Thanks this is by far the easiest to follow and you show the whole process. Thanks
Thanks for posting this up! I just got the same bracket but I am having trouble getting a good ground for the antenna. Did you ever add an extra round strap?
You can add extra ground. Were the thread holes corroded at all?
@@originalyummer no corrosion. Adding a ground strap is a good safety measure. I’ve had the same 29 for over 25+ years… hate to have to buy a new one!
Screw them bonuses make money running
Have you ground/ bonded the cab ?
Thank you.
Mine didn't have the mounting bracket and it's $48 at freightliner. 😡😡😡
Cant find power/ground hookup. 2014 Cascadia Evol. Had to really dig to find my ANT. Any takers?
Thanks.
Thnx for the share
Where did you get your mounting bracket please ?
For rookie installers lol.. damn rookies
Hi there , why is the antenna facing forward ? Thought it was supposed to be straight up. Safe travels
It actually is. A lot of them bull haulers think it’s cool to have the antennas tilted forward like that but in all actuality, they’re supposed to be completely vertical for best performance because since the radio waves leave the antenna perpendicular from the antenna, if it’s tilted forward then your radio waves will be going straight to the ground on the front and straight up to the sky on the back.
Hey there, Poky. I used to work in the Memphis shop for Vitran. Then they had me traveling all over repairing dock plates. Where are you out of?
Very helpful....was wondering which mount to use....thanks a ton!!😊👌
I put mine on the passenger side and then just shut the door on the cable. I routed the cable through the grab handle to keep it away from the hinges. I still need to get a SWR meter to check it but the radio already works better than it did with the factory antenna.
Wow, this was very helpful. I appreciate it a bunch!!!!
Where did you get that cb bracket from
It comes with the cb
It comes with it ok, but not the one with an angle, the one I got is straight.
@@etiennebordeleau did you ever find one?
@@winey11 nope, changed truck since then, good luck in your search.
@@etiennebordeleau thanks
Damnit lady, you just saved me a world of stress and having to ask clueless other Freightshaker drivers questions. Thank you!
Ty. But im sad i gotta spend more money
My pigtail doesn’t say which wire is which. Does the red hook to the outside wire or the inside/middle wire? (Mine has a spot for 3 wires, but there are only two.)
So did it gound properly....
Yes!
I bet it didn't.. you need to have those r's checked
Yea they say its only half grounded

Hi where can I get this mount bracket?

How did you ground your antenna? My swrs are too high, a common known issue.
Run a ground wire to the frame.. I'm in the middle of doing it now on my freight shaker

Wow great job. I’ve been watching big truck cb installs for a week and hands down yours is the most clear and descriptive voice and camera work. Thanks!
Thanks! Glad it helped. Stay safe out there!
Awesome job glad ther many stil out ther tht are into cb radios 👌👍👏☝️🙏🤝💪🤞🌵
Hey Lady! Gimme back my Harbor Freight tools! I was wondering where they went! 🤷♂️
No bullshit approach, I like it. This is a lesson to all the wankers out there.
Thank you
I mounted mine to the passenger side because there is less stress being put upon the aluminum bracket on that side. On the driver side, you are constantly opening and closing the door which flexes the aluminum mount in and out. Those mount eventually crack/break from stress. I always carry a spare for when they do break.
it doesnt add stress to the bracket. mounting it to passenger side you're not getting out to people you want to talk to as well as you would if it were driver's side. you can say i get out fine and all that but it still isnt as good as it would be if its mounted on the driver's side.
@@wingmannj So explain why mounting it to the driver side door is better than being mounted to the passenger side.
@@jchis9852 from what i've read and understand it acts directionally. the cab and trailer mitigate the signal (to what degree i dont know), so folks to your right and directly forward hear you but less so if they're to your left or behind you. at maybe a hundred yards or a few hundred yards it may not matter but beyond that say a mile or two it would make a difference. i had one of those brackets but couldnt get it to work well with my center load antenna, always had the red antenna warning light on when i x'd and the swr was poor.
Prob with driver side is there's more trees n shit to knock it off of.
You might whack your antenna off on a tree limb
