    Jst realize that the parodox isn't that we don't see them, the paradox is that none seem to have visited. Realize also that with our current speed (solar park probe) it still takes 7400 years to Proxima. So yes indeed we can't make vessels that can survive for that long. But if made to last we could send probes to all stars in our galaxy in around 1 billion years with this speed. Why haven't any lifeforms visited or worse colonize our planet? The milky way is 10 billion years old! It wasn't long ago it took us over 50.000 years to reach proxima. So it won't even take a billion years technology advances too.. How fast can we go in another 100-1000 years?

    • @RandomMargins
      @RandomMargins 2 місяці тому

      Thank you for your comment and for sharing your perspective! ❤ The Fermi Paradox indeed sheds light on the contradiction between the possibility of advanced civilizations in the universe and the lack of evidence for their existence or visits to us. As you mentioned, even with the current speed of spacecraft like the Solar Parker Probe, the journey to the nearest star Proxima Centauri would take thousands of years. This reflects the significant challenges of interstellar travel. Our galaxy, the Milky Way, was previously estimated to be approximately 10 billion years old, which makes the question even more intriguing: why haven't we seen evidence of other civilizations? However, with advancements in technology and new techniques for measuring cosmic ages, this estimate has been revised, and the current estimated age of our galaxy, the Milky Way, is approximately 13.6 billion years. It's true that technology is advancing rapidly. In the next 100 to 1000 years, we may witness significant advancements in interstellar travel. However, we are still at the beginning of this journey. There are several possible explanations for the Fermi Paradox: perhaps advanced civilizations choose not to intervene or communicate, perhaps there are technological difficulties we haven't discovered yet that hinder widespread interstellar travel, or there may be environmental or cosmic factors we haven't understood yet that make complex life rare. The issue of the continuity and longevity of civilizations over long periods of time (millions or billions of years) poses another challenge, as civilizations may self-destruct or face significant environmental obstacles. The Fermi Paradox remains one of the biggest puzzles in modern science, continuing to stimulate debate and research on this topic.

    Not sure where you get your information but we are absolutely not a type 1, not even close. So you saying we are 75% of a type 1 and almost type 2 is utterly laughable. Plus you are also wrong about galaxies beyond our local group are forever out of reach. Of course they are only theoretically reachable but they are none the less reachable. You are getting confused the galaxies at the edge of the visible universe and beyond, they are the galaxies that are forever beyond our reach even theoretically. Do better!

    • @RandomMargins
      @RandomMargins 2 місяці тому

      Thank you so much for your comment and i will be happy to tell you that Reaching beyond the local group of galaxies poses significant challenges for humanity for several reasons: •Vast Distances: The distances between galaxies are enormous, often tens of millions of light-years, making travel extremely difficult.Technological • Limitations: Current space travel technology does not allow for speeds necessary to cover these distances in a reasonable timeframe energy • Requirements: The energy required to propel a spacecraft to even a fraction of the speed of light is immense, and suitable propulsion technologies are still theoretical or in early development stages. •Human Factors: Intergalactic travel would require very long durations, presenting significant challenges related to human survival and psychological health. •Communications: Communicating with a spacecraft over such vast distances would be very difficult, as signals would take millions of years to travel.Despite these challenges, future advancements in technology and physics may make intergalactic travel possible, but it is not feasible with our current capabilities ... Now the othe point about type1 civilization issue , Current estimates place humanity at approximately 0.7276 on the Kardashev Scale. This indicates that we are not yet a Type I civilization, which requires the ability to utilize and store all the energy available on our planet. Our civilization is heavily reliant on fossil fuels and has not yet fully transitioned to renewable energy sources. However The projection for the future suggests that by 2060, we might only reach around 0.7474 on the scale, still far from reaching Type I status The Kardashev Scale measures a civilization's technological advancement based on energy consumption. For humanity to reach Type I, we would need to harness all the energy from our planet, including solar, wind, and other renewable sources, and manage natural disasters and weather effectively. For more detailed insights, you can refer to the research papers and articles discussing the current and projected status of humanity on the Kardashev Scale and you will be sure that i said the most accurate information :)

    Since the Sumerians settled in city states with centres of education and science 6000+ years ago we have only become aware of other galaxies in the last 100 years. We are infants when it comes to understanding the cosmos but it is clear that carbon based life is not suited to travelling the vast distances between stars let alone galaxies. The Fermi paradox is a succession of strawmen based on speculation and is on a par with Asimov's 3 robot laws. I recall reading somewhere that even Fermi didn't expect it to be taken seriously as it was an off-the-cuff response to a question posed to him, not a well designed theory. There is likely billions of intelligent species throughout the universe. The chances of us meeting any of them however, is zero.. folding space, travelling FTL and using black holes and wormholes to shorten the time to travel distances to a manageable scale is the stuff of science fiction and will never happen. I doubt we can even build a spaceship that would allow folk to travel outside our solar system.

    The Voynich Manuscript is in fact readable. -- It is written in a ancient European language known as Romance. The book was written by Catholic nuns, and the subject matter is largely on gardening and the caring for children. I assume this video is AI generated ??? which would explain a lot as there are some types of thinking only humans can perform. Sorry to burst any bubbles... but the truth is fully documented and any watching this video would presumably have access to Google.

    • @RandomMargins
      @RandomMargins 6 місяців тому

      First of all, I thank you for your comment, but my friend, your interpretation raises many questions, including where was this theory documented, what language was this manuscript written in, and if it was a real language, why were you not finding anything like it anywhere on earth, and the amazing fact of graphics, which did not exist in any other place that was discovered? In that era or any influence on it, so the channel did not adopt any theory that was not documented or supported by evidence. And the compelling evidence

      @@RandomMargins Thank you for your reply... I rarely find myself peddling backwards on my statements, this is a rare time and I am going to face it without embarrassment because this has brought into focus something I have been noticing at an increasing level with information on the internet... that is what appears to be presented as official information that is not financially beneficial to interested parties gets buried under a landslide of information that perpetuates mystery or ignorance on a very wide range of topics. In.this particular case, about 10 years ago I watched a video that was some mainstream production, where some historians and linguists had determined that a lost European Language known as Romance was the language that the Voynich manuscript was written in. Some of it had been translated at the time of the documentary, and the narrator who was one of the official historians on the task had said how they knew of Romance language, but there were no other examples of it extant today. They had determined that the manuscript and the folios were decided into specific sections, herbal medicine, child care astrology... basically it was a kind of Farmers Almanac that dated to the 15th or 16th century based on the type of paper, ink, artistic styles, and of course carbon dating. So that is what I accepted as the truth... and to qualify that a little, I had been aware of the voynich manuscript for decades before seeing that documentary, and had even tried giving scans of the text some study myself... and I concluded that it was beyond the scope of the information I possessed to decipher... but here we are another 10 years out, and the documentary I watched is nowhere to be found... and there is an onslaught of information presenting the Voynich Manuscript as a continuing mystery... So here is where I concede to you, I have to change my mind based on the current information, that you are right, and I was in error... whether that is because the information I had was deliberately hidden, or whether it was retracted at some point makes no difference apparently... we must conclude in the absence of proof to the contrary that the mystery remains... and anyone's guess is as good as the next. Best of luck continuing in your research.
