Partial Demolition of Eden Park West Stand by Ward Demolition
Eden Park is quite possibly our longest standing client. As of 2024 we have completed Demolition in the North (1998), South/ East (2008) and finally West stands (2024).
We demolished the North Stand with an insane deadline of 12 days in 1998. Ten years later in 2008, we were brought back for the demolition of the South and East stands in another incredible effort with only 6 weeks allocated start to finish. This Demolition was monumental for it’s time with a recycling rate of 90.57%, this was prior to the establishment of many of todays recycling facilities which is why it’s so impressive. Paired with an extremely technical demolition due to the counter levered canopy being under great tension, the completion of this job will forever rank as one of our greatest achievements.
Fast forward to 2024, Ward was immensely excited to return to the stadium for the refurbishment of the West stand. Thus, completing the full circle. Being a partial demolition meant for a very large margin for error. After a hand strip out and separation along the internal hallway. The first task of demolishing the front concrete bleachers was an especially tricky task. The grass and drainage systems directly in front of the stand had to be protected with heavy duty truck mats from large debris and prevented access for machines or trucks. Forcing us to work our way along the structure creating a road to load out as we went. This meant working underneath a million-dollar tv screen and in close proximity to the section that had to remain. This limited the operators from raising the boom in the Hyundai HX145cr and Sany SY135C. Operators had to work low with the boom reached out, a very unnatural technique that they quickly adjusted to. We had a spotter on the ground watching the machines at all times and ensured operators took sufficient breaks to remain sharp. It would only take one lapse in concentration to accidently strike the screen. If this weren’t enough the task involved removing large concrete beams within millimeters of remaining glass panels with this restricted movement. Dalton and Scott did an incredible job pulling this off without incident.

The fall of Albert Streets "Pigeon Palace" by Ward Demolition
Переглядів 7 тис.2 роки тому
The fall of “Pigeon Palace” 2021-2022 Ward Demolition’s deconstruction of Albert St’s, pigeon infested, street kid decorated, CBD Auckland, block of buildings was no simple feat. The tallest crumbly high-rise gave us a horrific surprise while pulling in a 7-story high street facing section. We discovered there was absolutely no rebar in the columns. As we stepped down each side of the building,...

Check out another smashing Job by the Auckland Team from Ward Demolition on Harrison Road St John. Given a deadline Richie, Zoran, Hayden and the boys did not crack under pressure. I’ll tell you what did crack though, all the concrete that was crushed to be recycled into the foundations of the site. We always aim for absolute minimum waste and we definitely achieved that on this job. It’s been ...

Will there be a video on the mastercraft/seado that burnt down in Hamilton. I see you guys are pulling it down.
How can that crane carry the digger ??
Sometimes ya' just get wrapped up in a screwy deal.....and the rest is a history lesson. 😮
You're looking at a 10 million dollar engine room cassette right there
Good video guys. Well done.
Good to see that you guys hire safe drivers! ua-cam.com/video/LtVyaIxHkms/v-deo.html
Sold and not destroyed! Complete a*holes, you would rather say and destroy it than even offer to give it away to anyone who could remove it without costing you your precious $$$$. Just hope life’s karma comes your way and all your family! The old saying if on fire don’t waste water but help you out with some petrol or the likes!
I wish that I had money to burn 😊
WHY JUST WHY !!!!!
The "music" is hideous.
Fred Dibnah would’ve done it quicker and cheaper if he was still around.

Smashing gold balls into the water. Clean and Green NZ eh?
amazing. it looks like the most fun job you could ever have
What a joke
Good story that would have been fantastic if you didn't speed up the camera so we are unable to see anything but a manic blur. When the story is about the boat, - - - SHOW THE BOAT!
think its always sad to see something demolished when so many hours have gone into building it so good to see a happy outcome
poor yatch of glassfiber, he died without being able to defend himself, without being able to sail the seas even once, so sad for a boat, but great for the yatch that was rescue
Wish i was wealthy being poor is a nightmare 😅
Yet it's harder for the wealth to enter the kingdom of God as they are so used to trusting in what they themselves can do (with their money and other resources) and not putting their trust in God.
@@AndrewSmith-ir1ui being poor is hell
@@tomsimpson5317 Yeah, I get it. It sucks when you lack.
I was born in a poor family and I just refused to grow up being poor. Started my own Bussiness and worked 7 days a week, 10 to 12 hours a day. The sacrifices I made to be wealthy were insurmountable. The only regret was a divorce and a bad back from the physical work. Retired at 62 after doing two full time jobs for the past 25 yrs. I missed out on so much that being poor would have made me happier 🤷🏻♂️, having said that be careful what you wish for, yeah I broke the cycle of being poor and my kids will automatically be millionaires but at huge sacrifices. I guess that may make it all worth while. That and being humble in life because to be rich comes with a lot of sacrifices. I pray every day and thank Jesus for all of my blessings and that is more important than all the money in the world. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@RobertDean-x5e ive been poor and its awful now I'm 62 and so stressed because of my situation
When it got to oshtrailya did they put it in another shid?
hahahhahaha
Yep and they replaced the Dick
Cool story !!!
I didn’t see a fish poster in the shids
WHAT!!! Are they destroying an super yacht mold???? That you could make a lot of yacht with....
Congratulations for on selling. Job well done.
I worked for imperial tobacco part time, when I was at uni. They would have free cigarettes you could smoke at tea and lunch breaks. If a tray of 4000 cigarettes fell on the floor, you were not allowed to recycle them they all had to be dumped down the rubbish shoot.
That was a great save, fortune favours the brave….well done on getting the deal across the line and saving the yacht
Looking at that engine and how far along it was - you had to have sold that for 2m+ - nice find ;-)
