SMITTYBILT AIR COMPRESSOR- HOW TO & REVIEW!!!
In today's video, I go over the Smittybilt Air Compressor. This is the # 2781 Model.
I have been using this air compressor for the last 2 years, which has worked for me greatly. I have not had any stopping issues. Once I have it dialed in on the time, it makes for an easy air-up.
Here's a link to the air compressor from Amazon

      No, I never made a follow-up. I love the tent and still use it all the time. But, it seemed the company that made it stopped making it. I just searched on Amazon and saw that another company looks to be making the same one so maybe I could do a video. I just didn't want to make it if you're not able to buy it anyway.

    Unfortunately I’ll have to take it off every time I need propane. Because my tank sets behind the bumper. So I only have about 14 inches of play between the tank and Wilco tire carrier.

    • @AccidentalOverlander
      @AccidentalOverlander 2 місяці тому

      Hey!!! So it is a double-walled tent (I know a little more about it then I did when I was filming). There is a floor, but it does not have a bathtub style floor (which is what I think you're talking about with the side floor). The rainfly, that is the outer wall, doesn't go all the way to the ground so air can fly in a little bit. But the net fully covers you so you do not have to worry about bugs at all. I've also never had any problems with it leaking in a rainstorm either.

    • @AccidentalOverlander
      @AccidentalOverlander 2 місяці тому

      @anthonysimpson6738 it's raptor liner. It's usually used in the back of truck beds. It's a little more durable and scratch resistant. But you are not going to get a clean, sleek look like a normal paint job. So it would just be personal preference. Thanks for watching

    Nice video and thanks for posting. My kids love any campsite on the creek so they can play in the water. I've been around long enough and explored around the world enough to know that we as humans have dulled senses compered to animals, but those senses are still there and can warn us in subtle ways. Could be an odor, maybe an animal or something that the deep mind recognizes as a threat or issue, but isn't registered in the conscious mind due to the sublimity. You were smart and aware to register it and decidedly move on. Other wise you wouldn't have had a good nights sleep. That place may feel perfectly fine in a few days or so considering the conditions.

    If your left-side burner is off, with a cast iron skillet, just slide the skillet from the flame to the "cold" side for a couple of minutes to moderate the heat. Heat retention in cast iron cookware is great, so it will still keep cooking and not overheat.

    I tow a 26 foot travel trailer into that forest. Although the roads typically get potholes in them, with the occasional wash outs and washboard, it isn't necessary to air down for traction on those roads. As the content creator stated, he did it for comfort. Surprised though he felt the need to do that in a Lexus. I have found that slowing down in my 1 ton truck makes the ride on those roads a lot smoother. Good quality video and good editing job.

    • @AccidentalOverlander
      @AccidentalOverlander 3 місяці тому

      You are right. Airing down there is unnecessary, but sometimes you never know what you'll hit. I have eventually found some turn-off roads that are pretty rocky. But I wouldn't take a 26' trailer there lol. Thanks for watching!! I may need to get some camping tips from you.
