Un anime llamado Galaxy Railways hacia un concepto similar pero un poco más realista que consiste en que un vagón de tren normal tiene en su interior una catapulta, en los vagones que le siguen cada uno tiene un avión, el tren cuando va a desplegar los aviones, deslizan los aviones de vagón a vagón hasta el vagón con catapulta, se sube el avión a la catapulta, se eleva la catapulta por encima del techo del vagón, el avión despliega sus alas y luego la catapulta gira para hacer despegar el avión de ella. La catapulta vuelve a girar a su posición original para luego bajar dentro del vagón esperando al siguiente avión para hacer el mismo procedimiento. Normalmente son 4 vagones, cada uno con su propio avión para tener un escuadrón, más el vagón con la catapulta.
