Lester Percussion Studio is Dennis Lester, Professional Percussionist since 1966. In 1979 he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education (BME). He was on the music faculty at Harlingen CISD for 34 years. Upon retiring he was invited to teach the drummers at Marine Military Academy and assist the Band Director. Prior to his move to Texas, he taught privately in Eau Claire, Wisconsin music stores and Mt. Senario College in Ladysmith, Wis. for seven years and Winona State University in Winona, Minn. for one year. He has shared the stage with Myron Floren and The Lennon Sisters from the Lawrence Welk Show, plus Shari Lewis & Lambchop. Recent performances include Musical Theater Productions (38+), Big Bands, Jazz Combos, Brass Choirs, Community Concert Bands, Symphony Orchestras and Dance Bands (Rock, Country, Swing, Old Time, Latin). He coached a Tex. "State Honor Band" Percussion section. He is a member of the Percussive Arts Society.
