King Kidd Fishing
United States
Приєднався 25 гру 2020
Most of my fishing will be from Northern Utah, but plan to keep exploring new places over the years. I love all types of fishing, and love discovering new techniques. I try to get comfortable with a certain style, before moving on to the next. I don't have an artistic bone in me, but I'm proof anyone can tie their own flies and find success. I'm no expert in any area of fishing, but I enjoy what I do. I do not make my video's with the purpose of being entertaining, they're ment to serve as more of a diary for myself. I decided to post publicly for those few people who might find them useful, and plan to continue sharing regardless of my success. Some of my own personal favorite youtubers have done the same, and some have gave up posting. Its disappointing to me, as they were my fix of some very fishy people sharing their raw footage.
Unhooked
This is a new section of this creek that I have never fished. It could have gone way better. It was tight in most places but opened up in enough spots. I struggled keeping the fish on. I feel like I've been in my own head way too much lately that I'm making it worse by overthinking it. I'm on a large streak of losing fish and I need to obviously do something different. It is hard on smaller creeks, and I also have somewhat of a disconnect between the fly rod and the fly. At least I hooked into a rather large fish that I wish I could have got in for the cutthroat slam. This one is quick and full of failed moments, but it shows that it's not always a good day.

I finally made it up
Переглядів 38216 годин тому
It's a bit late in the season, but I finally made it up here. Four waters fished, three of which were new. We had dispersed camped the night before, right along the river. It was the first time trying out our new folded mattress in the back of the SUV. It was one of the best nights of sleep I've had in the mountains. This was more of a last-minute trip, so nothing was planned. The fishing was a...
Fly Rod and a Kebari
Переглядів 12214 днів тому
The last couple of years I've done a lot of tenkara fishing. This year I decided to challenge myself to use the fly rod and euro rod more, especially when I'd normally grab a tenkara rod. In the long run it should help make a more well rounded angler, I believe. This is just a small example of times I would normally use a tenkara rod, but use the fly rod instead. I didn't spend to much time on ...
Dry fly trip comes to an end
Переглядів 18321 день тому
We had so much fun the first two days, we had to extend it for another. We had another late start, but this time with the intention of fishing a new stream before going back to the first one we visited. The creek was beautiful, but challenging in its own respect. Their was some very respectable fish in this water, it just took a bit of effort to find the best spots. I wish we would have continu...
Four streams on dries
Переглядів 11928 днів тому
This was the second day of our trip. I decided to live or die by the dry. Between the both of us, we caught trout at each location. I regret not catching a fish at the first stream, but at least I hooked into one. Each stop was a completely new spot for us. It was a fun day of exploring and now we know we have more options in the future. We had some wind and thunder roll in that shortened our p...
First day of a dry fly trip
Переглядів 114Місяць тому
We always have a blast in this area and wanted to explore it a bit more. It usually has some good dry fly fishing, and this time was no different. It's not often enough that I only fish with a caddis, but this is one area that I love to do it. This is only day one of what ended up being a three-day adventure. After this trip was over, we decided we might start doing this once every year around ...
Covid Sessions
Переглядів 93Місяць тому
I've had a bad cough for over four weeks. After being put on steroid's and antibiotics I was suddenly hit with covid before healing from the first sickness. Covid hit me and Nicole hard, both developing symptoms on the same day. After hardly moving and sleeping for nearly 4 days straight, we needed to get out and get some fresh air. I think long term it helped to get a little exercise. Although...
Some days you get suckered

I was surprised with a new rod by Nicole. I was still feeling sick and tired and honestly I wasn't really in the mood to fish, but I wanted to make sure I fished the rod. It felt great, but I was a bit disappointed in the half weight heavy line. It was recommended by the company and fly shop, but almost everyone online agrees it feels best with true to weight. It does help turn over, so it may ...
The beauty of the place made up for the fishing
Переглядів 158Місяць тому
We tried to go camping the night before but ran into a few speed bumps. We ended up at a hotel and decided to hit a new spot nearby. I had a few places in mind, but decided to go here since I have not been in the area since I was a teenager. It's water was as gorgeous as I remember, although the company seemed to have multiplied. I had a hard time figuring out the fish, it never seemed to be th...
Third time but with a fly rod in my other hand
Переглядів 592 місяці тому
This video is way longer than it needed to be. I was feeling super lazy when editing and didn't want to go through it a third time. That being said, a few more curse words made it into this one, so pass over this video if you know you'd be offended. I had such a good time here, that I had to go back. The fly rod was a must this time around, but I knew it would be a bit more of a challenge to th...

You already know that it had to happen. I went back with Nicole and got her into a PB. Thats been going around a lot lately. She did great, and I had a fun time sharing the experience with her. I also caught a big hybrid that I wasn't expecting. I was shocked because I couldn't even remember their being green sunfish in there in the first place. I might have to get out one more time. This has b...
Catching Big Bluegill
Переглядів 10 тис.2 місяці тому
I decided to skip out on the crappie and go try my luck at the bluegill. It took me awhile to start getting into some, but once I did it was hard to keep them off. It was an absolute blast to go for these bluegills. Thick with a number of them in the 10 inch range. Filmed in Late June 2024
I'm back for the exotics
Переглядів 2192 місяці тому
Our original plan was to camp and fish for crappie again. We ended up getting 20 mph winds, and the risk of near freezing air temperatures in the mountains. So we came up with a plan to keep us busy during the wind, and go somewhere that wasn't effected by lower temperatures. It was a good call, and I enjoyed being on this body of water again. Double Tube Action

I went back, but this time I brought Nicole. The overall size of the crappie was smaller than the first trip, but we found a good number of them after searching around a bit. Nicole caught a few on the fly rod but gave up after watching me catch a bunch. She also had two PB fish, and almost had her PB Largemouth. Filmed in mid June
First float of the season

Amazon Photos kept popping up with old memories of me fishing the crappie spawn. It gave me the motivation to get out in my tube and go try it. Unfortunately, no crappie were found in beds. I believe it hasn't happened yet, or the possibility I have already missed it. I'm honestly not sure what one. It didn't matter much, because I still found a good number of them. A few above the 10 inch rang...

A bit of fishing while visiting Southern Utah
It definitely happens to all of us. Nice spot.
Looks like a great lake to fish!
Way to get after it anyway. Something you were doing was keeping you bent, based on the bystanders' comments.
Good colors on them.
Good-looking browns and cutts.
What a beautiful stream! Gorgeous fish for sure. Thanks for taking us along.
Worked it out. Nice job.
Great day an a pleasant body of water.
The healing of running waters is irreplaceable. Good to see you get into a few nice catches.
I agree, Stacy. I was feeling worse than words could express at the time. Getting out on the river benefited me a lot at the time.
Nice vid👍 Any favorite 4wt line, now that you’ve had this rod for some time?
They sure do a beautiful patterns and colors.
They sure do have a unique look to them on these stretches of river.
VERY nice fish! 😎👍
Nice brown for Nicole! Good day on the river for you both.
That’s some beautiful country to fish in. We get “suckered” here too 😂. Great catches especially that first one. Ive never caught any trout of any form. Looking forward to it someday. Nice video.
Those were some monster bluegill. Looks like a great place to fish. New subscriber supporting your channel. Keep it up.
Nice Brown at the beginning whew‼️👍
Cool pond. Nice bass. You don't have to answer, but is this around the point of the mountain?
Where was this that's a nice place
Awesome Skyler and Nicole! Those are sum big gillz! Be fun on tenkara too! Dude u should have a zillion subs. I know your just documenting for yourself but "title keywords" would boost you up "if you decide you wanna make youtube an income".. It's not like I have many subs for as long as I've posted but like you, I enjoy filming and documenting. Anyways hope you guys are well! Talk soon, Steve✌️
Looked like a great day on the pond.
I'd like to catch a real fish out of there one day.
Where & and in what state were you fishing?
@@timothylondo Utah
Still has to been fun catching so many fish, and a nice bass to boot.
You get bored of the little ones after a while, but it's fun for a time. Having a few bigger ones helped mix that up enough to enjoy.
Those were slabs! Nice pond. Their colors are awesome.
what a great quiet place to catch some aggressive and big bluegill! you and Nicole did really good! congrats on the new PB Nicole!
Hello sir, I am a beginner. Can I ask you a question? Can you tell me how to choose the jighead weight?
Hey, Yasinoz. When it's under a bobber, it doesn't really matter too much. Sometimes, it's nice to have a lighter jig because it falls slower. Sometimes, that can entice a strike. The size of the jig can make a difference at times as well, and fish can kinda change what they want through the day, so it's good to have different weights, sizes, and colors. That's not to say go out and buy a bunch of jigs. You can get away with anything, especially with bluegill. I'd say go as light as you can, unless that's not getting you deep enough as fast as you want it. Imo their really is no set rule. Each water will fish differently, just avoid the snags. I personally fish 1/32 and 1/16 the most. Sometimes, I'm looking for even smaller if they're small fish or if I want a slower presentation. I only go heavier if I'm trying to get deeper into the water column. Good luck!
You were catching some nice ones
I couldn't get enough of it.
Those largemouth look like food for those bluegills
Those bluegills were huge! That's gotta be a personal best right there!
Gotta be? Had to be? You knew it be? How you be? What you be talking about?
You got some big ol bluegills right here. I love it when you find them like this and its cast after cast.
I was loving life.
Like fishing in a giant aquarium. I’ve heard that’s a good place to get your car broken into.
I've heard the same thing. My experiences have been good so far.
Plenty of action in that little pond. Fun days.
Great little panfish pond. Nice catches on the PB's.
You made sure to meet all of them! 😂 Well done. Gotta love a busy float.
You found crappie land
The crappie were nice sized
Nice outing. That was some murky water. Way to work on getting some landed.
Getting eats even though it's murky 👍
Interesting to see trout in that pond. Always fun to catch gills and relax.
beautiful area
Thats a nice body of water to fish :)
Nice day. Sweet hog of a bow.
I’ll take those big rainbows over slot cutts all day
Good day when you can "relax and lay back". Always good to get a couple to come in for a visit.
Congrats Nichole on the first cutty. Good mixed bag.
Nice strawberry cuttys
dang nice cuts! congrat to Nicole with her first cutthroat trout! good job guys!
I’m driving up for a rodeo next Thursday and I’m hitting the lake , may I ask what part of the lake this is
Honestly, any inlet is going to hold white bass. They're abundant.
Nice chunky bows
When you catch a footbal Bow it definitely is worth it!
Much better variety than the Berry. Good day at the lake.
That's true. Thanks for stopping by Stacy!
