Model T Drive
Переглядів 344Рік тому
Got the ignition system sorted out and took the T for a long drive today. Blew an axle seal on the way, but drives great
1926 Ford Model T first run in 40 years
Переглядів 205Рік тому
Picked this T up last weekend, it sat in a storage container since 1988 or so, just filled it with gas, unstuck the petcock, and she's a runner!
Buried Mac

Buried this Mac next to a stream last year, dug it up for VCF East and it works fine, one ram slot was a bit dirty and we had to get some dirt out of the power supply

Just got thia old mower running again after a long time sitting. Still have to tune it better and take it apart to lube the clutch mechanism but it's not running too bad now
Briggs Model A First Run

First run of my Briggs Model A in probably 30 years. It came off a 1930's era Moto-Mower
Continental engine running for the first time in years
Переглядів 564 роки тому
Just bought this little engine a few hours ago and all I did to get it running was put some gas in it! This thing definitely needs work though, the paint is TERRIBLE and the original acorn air cleaner is cracked pretty badly which is why it's not on there
1950 Power Products AH47 first run since the 70's

Got this little motor a few months ago and overall it was in really good shape except the piston was scuffed badly and the rod was worn out. I managed to get a new rod and piston, plus a better cylinder off a parts machine, and it runs pretty good now. It's not running great yet but it's pretty good. Planning on putting it on a mini mini bike soon

Ohlsson and Rice Tiny Tiger generator running
Smooth!
height v distance on approach was way out of kilter , and right of centre line most of the way in-but hey, nice video anyway.
It's hard to believe these beauties were shotdown all over Germany, and how it must have felt to the crew when one of those engines blew, or the props separated. Amazing. God bless those brave men.
Most beautiful sound in the world when she revs up for take off...
Unfortunately, I would imagine for the many poor souls in WWII who knew they would never set foot on the ground again, this sound was anything but.
Thanks for this. My Dad was a bombardier on Forts with the 15th AAF during WWII, right up front behind plexiglass, freezing cold in 40 pounds of clothing and gear, one hand on the Norton bombsite and a foot on the machine gun, flying in precision positioning, flying 8-10 hour missions, surviving murderous flack from the 88s guns on the ground, and with no fighter escort for the first years of the war. 35 missions. Lots of praying. He was 24 and already an Army veteran of 4 years. I can't even imagine. Salute to all the Bomber Boys and the crews who kept them flying. We will never forget. ❤
Amen. Donna, did your dad ever talk much about his WWII experiences?
Een mooi geluid.
awesome
Nice smooth landing
I worked on the B-17 miss Angela when it was Bill Dempsey s plane and it was being sold. We did a test flight and I'll never forget the experience. She's truly special. I can still see her glistening in the early morning. Some airplanes just get taken your breath away. I saved her bacon during a freak thunderstorm and tornado. She broke free of her tie downs and began rolling quickly toward a 30 foot deep ditch in Maricopa. The wind was screaming. I ran like hell flipped up into the nose hatch. Made it to the left seat and stood on the breaks. Tail went up in the air. For what seemed like eternity I looked into the ditch and stood on those toe brakes with everything I had. Storm passed and her tail pooped gracefully down. I got a pecan farmers tractor and towed her back. I did a sheetmetal repair on the rudder gust lock to prove it. Keep her flyin
The kpsd are corrupted...
What a BEAUTIFUL sound!!
Merci. From France. 😊
1:08 imagine being the person in that white car in the background, just driving and then seeing a WW2 heavy bomber fly by, that would be so cool.
I want one, squeaky brakes and all!
The approach seems too low? But I’m not a fortress pilot.
My Dad flew a B17 in WWII
Awesome!
Was this in La Porte IN?? Pretty I recognize the airport. I live in South Bend.
👍👍 Excellent view and ahhhh.... the glorious sound of those lovely big round engines! 😁
Gear down and locked. Landing flaps for 90 mph. Don’t lower either above 120.
Another Boeing POC
Absolutely BREATHTAKING 💯
Been on many 17 and 29 flights out off Oshoks EAA (I'm from Green Bay) But that plane pretty won the war in Europe for us!
Along with the 24's.
@@scottj8791 And the Lancasters!
Uncle flew B-17s from Kimbolton England with the 379th Bomb Group
My father was an engine mechanic and prop specialist for the B17 in Europe during WWII. Met my mother in London at VE celebration and here I am.
Such a beautiful sound!
Wow!
Looks like a fast landing...recommended speed is usually 100-105 MPH for normal, and maybe 90 ish for a short field........I suspect 115 if not higher.....Boeing recommends a 3 point landing as well...? Uses a lot of real estate too? Nice video, miss flying them!
WOW what a view!
WOW absolutely amazing!!
Beautiful music. I’d like to hear one when the engines are out of sync. My favorite sound since I flew for my first time in 1948 and later in all the DCs and the Connie.
I've talked with a few former pilots from WW II and the men that fly these craft today and they say she can practically fly herself, especially when not being shot at.
That's a thing o' beauty, right there......!
The Fort in action, wonderfull sight and sounds.
The countryside around the airport in this video and the landing video is very reminiscent of the countryside around the bases that the B17 operated from in the UK during WWII
beautiful
For someone now having a ride in that great iconic piece of American aviation history the emotions would be ones of joy and excitement but contrast that for a second to how the crews back in the day must have felt doing the same thing but headed to Germany. Insane levels of bravery there from those men. Wonderful to see today though.
Whew. That was a low approach. Really low.
Amazing how just a collection of engineering parts spannered together can sound so sweet and perform so well 🫡🇬🇧
Sweet...!!!
Someday.
Some people have all the fun!
This is the B-17 from the Commerative Air wing in Arizona. It is departing runway 2 out of La Porte, Indiana (KPPO). Date is September 8th, 2024. I work as a lineman at the FBO. This plane is AWESOME! there was also a B-25 there as well giving rides! It was a beautiful day!
Very few things beat the howl of a 17 at full power.
Belle
Flys like a dream.
I was thinking the dark screen uploads alleged to be continuous loops of actual B-17 onboard sound were all fakes done with trombones or some sort of synth. I am rather shocked to find out they actually sound like this. I quite expected to hear some sort of rumble/ warble from the exhaust even though all muffled by a turbo waste gate.
Just beautiful !
I hitched a ride in a Flying Fortress several years ago, for $450. Worth every cent for a thirty-minute flight. I sat in the nosegunner's seat and "stafed" herds of cattle that we flew over. The plane creaked, groaned, roared, squeaked, rattled, shuddered, and shook! A visceral experience in an iconic aircraft!
In a time period of 1:34 seconds 15gallons of fuel was burned and 10 quarts of oil used, 🤣
And worth every penny!
@@claiborneeastjr4129 that's a fact . I would love to fly that just one time in my life
Greta in panic 😂
I’m in the oil business and am willing to produce all you need! Beautiful iconic American aviation history.
Nice! Brings back memories.. 👍🇺🇸
