Приєднався 17 вер 2012
Hi, Im Louis, owner of A1 On Track Sliding Door Repair. I am The Sliding Door Guru. One might ask " how do you become a Sliding Door Guru?" Well let me tell you...It is not easy. You have to get up every morning M-F 6 am and you have to go out and repair Sliding Doors of every type all day long for 25 years. You have to repair sliding glass doors, pocket doors, tub enclosures, closet doors, you have to install new handles, tracks, rollers, locks and foggy glass. Its not easy being The Sliding Door Guru.....but someone has to do it.

Where can I find the tools to remove and replace the track inside the cavity?
Seriously?
Have you read any of the comments? You know what you are doing, but you failed to impart that knowledge and technique to your viewers.

Thank you for the video it was a big help.
Helpful video...thanks
I tried to do it that fast and dislocated a couple of limbs.
Nice commercial. No help for me repairing my door, however.
sell the tool ill buy 2
Yes yes and yes... or instructions on how to make the tool pleeeeease.
sell the tool guys?
i want to see exactly what's being done...don't need you to tell me how good you are at doing it...
Their trick is the fancy tool they use to get the screws back in the wall out & put new ones in when they replace the track. You can do the same thing if you remove the trim and the split jamb and just reach in with a cordless driver, but it does take longer & you do have to be careful not to damage any of the wood or you'll be replacing it.
Do you sell this tool you used?
I want that tool!
Instructions too complicated. Got penis stuck in ceiling fan.
Hello. I use a 7 foot long piece of rebar as a bit extension for my drill. It has a bit holder welded to one end of it to accommodate any bit style. I hold the drill near the floor and (with a miners light on my forehead) reach up and remove the screws with the long extension. Sometimes the furthest screw is hard to remove. but, with just one screw remaining, I can easily yank the entire track down. To install the new tract I tape screws onto the bit and install them at an angle. I certainly agree with the makers of this video that re and reing the track without disturbing the wall surface is a smart way to do these changes.
Thanks a lot for the idea is it possible to see the picture of it if you still have it?
I just remove the trim & split jamb.. then you can reach your arm in with a cordless (or regular) screwdriver (if you have long skinny arms like mine.)
Thanks guys...I custom made the screw extractor out of PVC and air ratchet - slow but effective. The 3/8" air ratchet fits inside 1--1/2" PVC pipe - another person operates the air flow. I then discover the builder had used 3 machine screws with nuts on the other side that would spin up inside! Gotta love some installers - must have run out of wood screws and used what was laying around :( Will use hex heads to reinstall...you guys do fast work...appreciate the post!
Why all the fast motion video?
