How to remove tarnish from a trumpet
This is a rather short video of me polishing up a very tarnished Yamaha Cornet that I have recently acquired. I used Music Nomad polish but am in no way affiliated with them. I am simply impressed by the quality of their polish. I hope this video is helpful to you, and best of luck in cleaning up your instrument! Cheers!

Thanks a lot. This is definitely more informative than the video that Music Nomad has on their polish.

I may be the only one here who likes your trumpet before you polished it.

I think that tarnished silver looks good. It looks like gun blue.

Hello. Do they make one for a brass plated instrument?

There's no such thing. It's either nickel plated, silver plated, gold plated, lacquered, or bare brass.

Black or blue tarnish with glossy polished is amazing and different from all yellow standart brasses. It's possible to do with gun oxidation oils, but pure and naturall ballanced turnish with blue or black color on all surfaces on the instrument is very unique and more priceless and if there have a good lacquer finish on it is the best. Ok.

Most band instructors will not allow cornets.

Nice job, Trumpet Kid. I've got an old horn I need to polish up and was glad to see a nice before/after video.

If possible, can you do a vid of a tarnished lacquer played brass instrument and use the lacquer polish?
