Personally, I think they could have done a better choice casting. Ellie. For example, if I didn't play any of the games or watch any of the game plays, I probably would have been perfectly fine with Bella being casted as Ellie. But the fact is I did play the games and watch game. Playthroughs and I got very very attached to the character in the game which made it very hard for me to see Bella as Ellie. Is why I had to watch it and pretend I never played the game which was pretty hard. But in doing so, I realize that it's just because we're so used to the way the character and the game is. She only acts about 80% of how Ellie acted. She doesn't look or sound at all like her. And I'm almost positive she was just put there to get some sort of non-binary awards😂 honestly I think there was a girl named kaytlyn Something that was going to go for the part but they for some reason skipped her even though somebody said that she was a better pick

I still think she was wrong for the part, but once she was cast it was done so I let it go and just watched the show. She's clearly not Ellie and it changes the dynamic between her and Joel. But in all fairness the show may have mocked scenes from the game but overall they two very different stories with the tv show being a much lighter wholesome take. It is what it is.

I think she's hilarious especially that native American couple they run into. Girl has spunk. I say let her prove the rest. See what the kid can do

I agree with Ellie on the fact that again something was taken away from her. In the first game Joel stole her sense of purpose, that the people she lost wouldn't for in vain if she gave her life for the cure Abby, for years premeditated her revenge, had years to let it go. Had a whole crew to help her get that revenge, Mel excluded,she wanted revenge but didn't want to get her hands dirty but it's still to the point Abby had people and a purpose, a way to move on. Ellie was barely 24 hrs into trying to forgive Joel because she knows that he did it for the love he had for her and before she could build that trust back again Abby stole that chance to reconcile with Ellie Ellie tired of facing loss, had had it with everything and this revenge mission became her focus. Shes off 24hrs of just losing her father figure while Abby had about....7 yrs, joined the WLF, became a top mercenary for Isaac Ellie learned to swim and to play the guitar, clearly Ellie was the one who should have reflected lol
