Storytellers Union
United States
Приєднався 13 лис 2017
We are Storytellers Union, a trio of lifelong friends who love making music. Kevin Compton sings and writes lyrics while Jerri Compton sings and writes both lyrics and music. Dug Hager composes most of the bands tunes, plays most of the instruments and produces the band's recorded output. Our UA-cam channel is another way to get our songs into the world and offers us a chance to explore video possibilities of our music as we connect with friends, fans and build a community of like minded music lovers.
Union Stories - Pebbles Tried to Warn Us
The final song on Storytellers Union's sophomore album is Pebbles Tried To Warn Us (But did we listen? No!). It's the longest song in length in the band's repertoire and was one of the most ambitious undertakings the band has attempted. In this episode of Union Stories learn the story behind the closing track of Kids on the Same Ride.

Thanks so much!! You saved me a ton of frustration! So quick & easy! Hope you’re doing well take care & God Bless!
Glad it helped!
Hello! Great video! I have a question about recording guitar DI in s S1. When I record my guitar, I create a mono track and select my guitar input. But when I do this, I am unable to get stereo output from my neural DSP plugins. I noticed in your video, the DI looks like it is recorded in mono. Did you record them in mono and switch the track to stereo after? Thanks and a great day!
Its been a while but I believe that is exactly what I did. Thanks for watching
Spoon, Wilco and Alvvays definitely made the top of a lot of lists in the VC. I had the Costello was getting closer to his 70s output. Enjoyed the list
Thank you for giving us a watch Steve!
Did you buy all of these albums in physical format. DBT was a favorite though it did t make my Top 12, still a solid album. Freedy Johnston was on the top of a few VC lists. Hope you do Vinyl Tag
That's a great suggestion on the vinyl tag. These days I do more streaming than anything else but there's nothing that beats the warmth of a well-pressed vinyl. So I definitely still make physical purchases of select albums to add to the collection. Thanks for watching Steve!
I answered this question a year ago. I still have the same view. No one has to know how you create your music. Many of the sounds we use today like nature sounds cannot be created by a guitar. A car's engine cannot be created by a piano. This is the beauty about sound design. You can create any sound you need with any recording software. The other contradiction out there is speakers, or headphones. I use only headphones. I use a laptop. My DAWs are as follow. Sony acid music studio, magix music maker 2014, Reason. I use another free one LMM something. I can't remember the name. I use these softwares, because they are very easy to use. My productions turn out beautiful. I bought this laptop for $40 dollars. I also use it to create my art work as well. I learned to use what ever I have to produce what I want.
Thanks very much for this info. It was driving me crazy! The arming of a track this way could accidentally erase that track unknowingly when recording a different track if you didn't notice it was armed... This also happens when I select a track using the StudioLive mixer when I select a channel on the mixer. It should hopefully remove arming of a track accidentally from the mixer...I can update you if that works also for other StudioLive mixer users, if you like... Phil NYC Area
That’s an awesome delay!
J.T. is a great album
What Justin song do you think Steve and the Dukes interpret the best?
@@storytellersunionmusic Sorry about the late reply but probably They Killed John Henry or the Saint of Lost Causes
@@jasonjames6383 Both excellent choices...we're particularly fond of Steve's version of Saint.
Some interesting choices, artiists I weren't familiar with. I have to watch the rest of your series to see the next 25.
We'd appreciate that very much! Thanks Jason!
Super tight and it rocks! Good one.
Thanks for listening brother!
Hello. You can use what ever helps with making music. No one has to know how you produce music.
I find all my music from Spotify, I go to UA-cam for the music videos sometimes and to also listen to as I am cleaning my apt lol. For me those are the two sources I use for music. Nice video!
Thanks man. You know Storytellers Union is on Spotify. :)
I guess since they are live players, its almost as if they lost touch with other ppls reality that ppl have actual jobs to pay the bills and other mouths to feed.
I'd like to think it's a limited world view. They just need a ToonTrack fanboy like me to educate them. :)
Do it Doug!!!!
We gotta get those likes, follows and subs.
Thanks for the upload, keep up the good work!!! I really think that you deserve more views. Did you know that you could use smzeus . c o m?! It will really help you with growing your channel.
