The SSBB was formed in 2007. Since then, we've been entertaining audiences at swing dances, weddings, corporate events, city concerts, festivals and schools all over the Midwest. We've been featured on WGN TV, WBEZ radio, and on the nationally syndicated television show, "Vampire Diaries." We were hired by Amazon.com to perform 1940's swing for the opening of the Amazon Prime series "A League of Their Own." Staffed by some of the best musicians in the Chicago area, you're going to love listening to and dancing to Shout Section Big Band!

The first live concert I ever saw was at 12 years old. Mom took me to see Les Brown and his Band Renowned at Miller Auditorium. I enjoyed their old swing records, but seeing a real big band on stage hooked me.

@@BAYBAY_316 All this got me reminiscing and I did a little research and discovered that Doris Day got vaulted to stardom by recording "Sentimental Journey" with this band, and Tony Bennett did his first major public appearance with them on a Bob Hope special. That's some good stuff on the resume!
