He was very articulate, on top of the issues and philosophical. It struck me around 5:50 that he did not really want to be head of state, he just wanted to help.

Our people are very funny: they think by being tribal bigots they will be better than everyone else. Yet the truth is simple: deliberately allowing our tribal members to be in power whilst it’s clear that they don’t know how to govern nor have any idea how to make our lives better is what is going to happen over and over again. Maybe one day there might be a Ghanaian leader or party that knows that the fight is to be a self sufficient and dignified people in a world of so much promise and happiness when the minds are right and the people know what’s best for them! We don’t learn and won’t even pay attention to commonsensical solutions to our problems. Let’s be there, picking leaders because of their tribal and ethnic backgrounds and see whether we will get anywhere in life! Our foolishness knows no bounds: let’s grow up already!
