Thanks so much for noticing! Yes, it's something important to us when creating the videos that we try and capture the sound that we hear in the Latchis Theatre as much as possible, rather than creating more of a 'recording studio' sound. Obviously, it's never going to match the live experience, but we try and get as close as we can!

This is remarkable. The one blessing of this pared-down arrangement for small orchestra is that the orchestra never drowns out the singers, which lets face it happens almost everytime with regular productions.
Thanks Vincent! This was also a consideration with having the orchestra on stage with the singers (behind the nebula net 'screen') - the total opposite of a covered pit! Capturing the colors and drama of Wagner's writing and making it fit what the company needed was paramount in the production of this arrangement.
