this is trash. most books just teach you the same conventional "wisdom" that they know people want to hear. To always be in their comfort zone. "im happy, you're happy." they just teach the same unecassary crap over and over. tons of it. Practical is more important than any of it, and there are few books out there that will teach you actual important things. i.e. dan pena. would you rather have read 700 books or made 700 business deals?

Amazing video, Zohaib. Just curious to know can we substitute book reading with book summaries? And if not, then any tip or practice on how to be consistent in reading books?
Thanks a lot. 1. Book summaries can not be a substitute of the book. I explain it many ways. Mostly, book summaried are done in the span of 10 mins mostly(both audio or reading time). Lets suppose, you are reading a book on advertisement(supposing you are a digital marketer). It doesnt matter how much well the person gives it summaries, there will be some points which would be missing(i have made 2 to 3 summarries and read a couple of it, saying with experience). So, that very line or missing point maybe can define your whole success and that's true. Maybe you were missing that single point in your business. So, i really suggest person to read book himself and not only summaries because all u need is one practical tip or one line can change everything for you. Also, reading books comes along with more other benefits which sumarries can't fullfill. Just think, Warren reads 5 hours a day still. 2. Tip/practice : Practical tip is that u first start reading books of your interest. Maybe you like economics subjects, read economics based book. Just don't skip it. Develop a habit. Read atleast daily maybe for only 30 mins. But read whenever. Then mark your present like "i read today". "Reptition is the ultimate recognition". So, ultimately, it will become a habit. Then ultimately, time span will increase. Dont think of finishing book before starting. Just read for 30 mins and reflect on the ideas and how u can apply them to your life. This activity will for sure make you consistent.
