@TheJriggins0071 Im glad to hear it. The sword I'm using here is Shinwa, Unbroken Knight Model, which is basically a straight katana with no curve. Usually grab mine from Budk.com for cheap. it's definitely a sturdy sword but it can bend if you hit a target that's a bit too solid and have to re sharpen your edge from time to time. That being said, it's nothing bending it back to place and a whetstone can't fix. Had this one a few years and it's a bit forward heavy with a nice edge fresh out the box. Hope this helps 🙏

@TheJriggins0071 Respect for taking up the blade in the first place, Any swordsmanship training before? If I can offer one piece of advice to everyone it would be to get comfy with you blades, if you can get to a place where your sword feels like it's always been a part of you. Almost like your hands are just another joint while holding the sword. Techniques, Form, alignment, they are all secondary to being one with your sword as far as I'm concerned. Hope that helps even if only to give you a direction for your training.

I appreciate you my friend but no need to worry, I only even posted this as an example for people about what can happen if you don't take this seriously. As you said, it's a 3 foot long razor. But not to worry, I have prepared for situations like that. To be able to catch yourself and rebalance can while keeping the blade under control is pretty difficult. If nothing else I want people to learn from my example so they don't get hurt themselves. I will be ok, thank you for your concern my friend

@@armoredsweatpants3997 I whole heartedly agree. The way I see it is, Sometimes things aren't always going to go as planned. The slipping was unintentional but being able to react quickly and rebalance yourself in an instant is key. Iv done so much revolving around my balance through the years, the slips may have looked sketchy, but I have it under control. I do appreciate the concern though my friend. Seriously, thank you! 🙏

All I have left are live blades, and I'm confident in my balance or honestly, I wouldn't have attempted it considering the terrain. Iv worn out all the grass in that location so now I'm left with is mud by the end of every session haha
