I love my USP full size. The USP was more innovative than the Glock for its time.It had a light rail before Glock did, It was over engineered for all environments. My USP is a 2010, I had one back in the early 90s and I sold because the after market support wasn’t there and I regretted it ever since. So I picked another one up and don’t have any regrets. I do have a Glock 19 GEN5, which I have had a few of those, from GEN 2 to GEN 5. As for a go to war pistol I would run the USP in any caliber. They are on the high end of the wallet spectrum but buy once, cry once.

Is this the same with the v3 version?

I just bought my P30L V3, at the same time I ordered the GG trigger and reset kit + nickel sear & reduced power hammer springs. I will polish all internal friction points. I've already done 2 USPs that netted me 6#-DA & 3#-SA pull weights. Hoping to achieve similar on the P30!

I think this is the best review of this pistol ive ever seen, i put one of these on layaway (used) at my favorite gun shop, and i already have a glock gen 5 with upgraded night sites, and a FN9s, but hey, I just wanted a Sig again ( had a P226, made in Germany a long time ago, one i should of kept) because they just look awesome, but i started watching video reviews and a few people ( I think they are John Wick Wannabes) nitpicked them too much, mine has been Exellent, and it doesnt have that double reset that ive seen on videos, i think mine may be an older model, even tho its in fantastic condition, because it doesnt have the 2 dot night sites on the rear, it has like a white strip in the center, but its a flawless pistol,,great trigher, and i shoot it more than my other pistols..great review..thanks

Thanks. I was looking for a video that showed a before and after. I've been carrying a P229 with the short reset but recently purchased a P30SK, no safety but don't care for that long reset.

It's almost 100% P99. I expect the same milling tools and small internal parts are used by both brands. I agree the recoil spring is a .40 cal demon, just like the P99. It's a pity Canik ditched the P99 mag release levers on the trigger guard. I would replace that front sight with orange lume dot.

your presentation swung towards buying one, my only quable is the lack of front serration particularly how heavy it is to rack the slide. I noticed on Canik site that they state that is has a loaded chamber indicator, can anyone confirm if this is the case with their new releases. Thank you

I bought the TP9DA because it is reasonably priced and holds 18 rounds. It fulfills that role perfectly. My only problem became finding a use case for it now that I own it. It's too big to carry (for me), but really fun to shoot at the range. That said, I like to practice with my carry guns at the range. So . . . I doubt I'll be shooting the TP9DA all that much. It's kind of sad, but I am glad I have it in my collection.

exactly what i expect after owning a few P30 (SK and LS). I love my LS! I MIGHT do Gray Guns LEM mod, that looks gnarly, i have had a P2000 V1 .40 LEM and enjoyed the hell out of it, fantastic trigger, i did have some issues /w dry-firing causing the uh....oh fuck i forgot what the name of the part is to fail but it was super cheap to replace, but annoying (as I enjoy dry-fire practice, so im keeping my new P30 LS DA/SA awhile lol)

I love how cheap the gun is for the quality. Definitely ain't my top pick of the list but I like and respect canik. I use my DA for a car gun in double action. I could careless if it gets beat up.

They should come like this from the factory, this has always been one of my biggest gripes with hk pistols.

P30 tends to have similar reliability to a USP, but the VP9, somehow hiccups quite often in some adverse conditions.

Can this be installed on a v1 p30L?

How similar is the trigger to the PPQ trigger after install, do people notice better results with shot placement after the upgrade?

Love your freedom, don’t want to nitpick, but if you really are safety conscious you should remove ammo from table. I teach no ammo in room when I’am cleaning/ dry firing or otherwise handling a firearm, just saying PS this is my go to 45

A number of years ago, I had a USP 45 full size. I'm a re-loader so I rely on that type of ammo to shoot. I learned one day at the range that the bullet seating in the chamber wasn't fully supported, because I had a 45 round case explode near the end of the round during firing. The blow-out blew the mag out of the gun, cracked the frame and I got a small scratch on my hand from it. The barrel & slide looked OK. I sent the gun back to H&K to get repaired & re-revalued. The gun came back in short order and ran just fine after wards. Its true that the reload case may have just been bad or the case may have had a little too much powder. This can happen on factory bullets too. But, I always questioned how well the seating of a bullet was fully chambered in this gun. Lesson learned - Always, check the "over all length" of the bullet in the chamber for full support of the round. Just an FYI.

I love you saying tiny sheet metal slide stop for glock. That's why I love hk and bereta,and their slide release.Still if you want to slingshot it like your glock. Do it its optional.
