As a ref of 40+ years, if you allow the play to get rough, it is your fault [as the ref]. If you manage it early, the players will usually get the message, and if they don't they'll be sitting down quickly. Saying that, the video is obvious biased against the team in green [not saying they weren't being overly aggressive/dirty]. If you pick and choose events from most games, you can come up with a few plays that seem bad. Some context would have been good. When you have a "dirty" player, one of the 3 refs should always be aware of where they are on the court, and what they are doing, imo

The refs have limited control of the game. The COACHES can't stand for that shit. You're not going to get professional refs at this level, EVER. If they're missing accidental . incidental things, that's just life. The players make mistakes, the coaches make mistakes, guess what, the refs will, too. But this was a PATTERN of dangerous, aggressive, illegal play by one team, and that's not a mistake by the coach, that's how he's coaching his team.

Most of these are not that bad and most of the time he did not step in the landing spot of the shooter. I guess you don’t want the defender trying at all.

It s the ref s fault for letting it get out of hand. Call a refs timeout and tell the kids if they even breath on each other I’m calling it. Control the game before someone gets hurt.
