The issue I have is that dnd (all fantasy) is supposed to emulate middle ages Europe. However, they bring in so many aspects from other places and times that claiming this group is modern day Mexican does not break anything for me. Now if someone has a modern rapid fire weapon in that game, I would take offense and say how could they have it there? The impression I have is that Kelsey and now Harmony are simply a small portion of a MUCH bigger problem. This problem is that those who have been in power (men at wizards) are starting to see newer, younger people (both men and women) outside wizards take the power away from them. This scares them like it has whenever there has been a power change from one generation to another. The old guard does everything they can to stop the loss and prevent the new generation from taking over as long as possible. Wizards currently is the current power and Kelsey and the rest are the new power that they are attempting to stop. That is the real reason why when they show any amount of success, there is this sudden backlash against them. Nothing personal, just the standard intergenerational change that time says will happen regardless if people want it to or not (usually not).

Lol, This whole bruhaha is that she ran a "Braunstein" (sp?) type game? And somehow calling her game a Braunstein game is the problem? If she is getting grief over that, then 90% of the people who have run Call of Cthulhu games I have been in should be run out of the hobby because they call it a horror game and any trace of horror was notably absent. Seems silly. Maybe the new game everyone is playing is called internet controversy? I missed the kickstarter on that one.
