Sound of my childhood summers. My Dad had same mower for 36years. I could hear it from streets away as I walked home from school bus stop. Got sold to a cricket club when we emigrated to NZ in 2005. Was sold with another for spares. It was very loved and in great condition- I hope it’s still loved and cared for now.

I can buy your petrol version for £800-ish. Or I can get this version with with two batteries and a charger for £1300. I can’t for the life of me understand how the mower comes with no charger or battery either? If you want to do good business supply everything needed or prepare to fail. Big mistake the way these battery models are sold.
Hi thanks for your comments if you look on our website this mower is listed with 6ah battery and charger for £1060.00
Looks and sounds great. I have a 1950 Z type Dennis. I think that the company introduced their own engine in @1925, because of the demise of the Bradbury company who supplied Dennis with engines from @1921, when Dennis began making lawnmowers. Would love to own a very early Bradbury engined Dennis!👍
Excellent
lovley, i used to use one of these to cut the grass in kent, it took a crnak handle to start it, and was so wide it cut the grass real quick
I dont have the lawnmower just engine so will look for serial number. cheers
Help please do you know how to date the DEnnis Engine. Is there a serail number on oil cap ?
+MakeDoAndMend1 The serial number for the engine is on the crankcase the original engines were made by Blackburn industries until they burnt down and Dennis took them over. The handles are the best way of datingthe early ones had ash handles like mine the later ones 40-50-60s had pram handles.Hope this helps
