Trying out the Condor Selknam
Переглядів 15 тис.5 років тому
Got a new condor selknam and decided to make my first video while trying it out.
I used a beezwax/boiled linseed concoction on mine. Softened it right up. The steel I had works better with a Kansas churt than an English blue flint. I love this knife. The edge needs some work when you get it but most Condors are that way and the 1075 is easy to maintain. This is a great knife and I dont think anyone who buys it will be disappointed.
The sheath alone is worth the price of the knife.
Awesome video
Nice camp site, Thumbs up 👍
Awesome video- new friend here
I love my sleknam mut I did thin the edge up quit a bit. It came more convexed than my axes. Now it's a fantastic all around knife.
Very nice video.here to give my support
Hey Jay, just seen Thack’s Killer Kitchen knife you made. Totally awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love the blade shape and the grind.
That looks like a really nice peaceful lake man! Nice video for sure!!

Love that forge
Nice work brother!
Nice night at the lake by the campfire. Take Care.
Neat, can't wait to come up and watch ya make one. Always wanted to make a knife, so thanks for the offer.
Better learn to switch off.. your going to have one Popeye arm and one Olive Oyl arm...hahaha
I like the blade design
Looked like a beautiful day out there!
I was just telling myself i need to try making some char clothe and remembered I had seen this one come up. Great video! Is there any difference in this vs thinner cotton material?
Jeans has more fibers, especially when you tear (or break a piece in the case of rolls). The rolls can be unrolled also if a flat piece is needed.
good video !
Im hopen to get a few more nights in before the snow hits hard here on the north west coast of Pa . Its beautiful there .
Howdy my friend I’m new here much love !!!! Stay Hooked!!
Nice way to spend the day and night
Thanks for sharing your night out in the woods, Jay. Nothing better than a good sleep out in nature. Those steaks looked awesome, but it was steak!
I have never researched it or done it, but Dad says the best potato done outside is when you cake it with mud and place it in the fire. He said, the mud hardens and when you break it the peel of the potato stays with the harden mud and all that is left is great tasting potato. Just thought, I would share what I have heard.
Great spot man. Yeah it’s always nice to have the place to yourself. Top it off with a campfire steak 👍. I just found you tonight on My Slice Of Heaven live stream and cams to subscribe. Hope you can support me also. Yeah steak is always good.
Looked like a good little getaway I need some of that nice work brother.
Nice little spot you had
And that my friend is what camping is all about !! Too often we try to cram too much into a trip. Great to just sit back and chill from time to time.
I like this. Great job my friend
That's a different way of doing it pretty cool I will have to try that.
Great job my friend. I've never seen people roll them before.
I made a tin of rolled car cloth last year.. really worked well.. Put it in a safe place in my supplies.. Can't remember where that safe place is.!! Thanks for the reminder...hahahahaha
Never seen rolls before either. Looks like you can produce much more with that method.
That was a cool adventure, thank you😀
Love the video jay your getting there

Another awesome edited video my friend. I miss that place so much. What was that first fish? It was beautiful.
Thanks! It was a black crappie. Seemed to be the only hungry fish in the lake 😂
Looks like was good trip
Had the whole lake to myself that day, had a great time even if the fish wasn’t interested in any bait I tossed at them lol
That's it.. I'm leaving in the morning (I wish) hahaha.. Truly did love that little lake.. need to come down and spend a little more time fishing. Great underwater shots !!!!
Thanks, I was experimenting with the underwater shots haha I’m really glad they turned out ok, I was happy to record the release of the fish. It was very peaceful out there that day, I was the only person on the lake the whole time I was there.
