Toronto Santa Parade 20204 | Christmas in Canada | Momos & laphings | Canada Vlogs
Deena and I kicked off the festive season by attending our very first Christmas Parade in Canada, an annual tradition filled with joy and excitement! 🎄✨ The parade was such a unique and fun experience, and it truly got us into the holiday spirit. We ended the day at my favorite momo spot in Toronto, Shambhala Kitchen, where we indulged in their delicious Laphing and sizzling momo platter. 🥟🔥 Toronto is absolutely magical this time of year, and I can't wait to share more festive vibes with you all!

People who want to come will still come. There are tons of Students from many countries who come here and make their dreams true. Resilience is the key. People who made it here are still able to do it. Canada is not only Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary.
I agree. However, I believe it depends from person to person, all situations are not same.
@@Shreya.Dixit_ I hope the situation was better for all the students, I was once an international studnet, and I am still a student but a domestic one now.

In my opinion yes.
🗣️ MISSED YOU, WELCOME BACK 💗

I'm not trying to be mean as I say this. I'm wanting to tell students what many lifelong Canadians have experienced recently. Maybe it will shed a light somewhere in regards to 2024 changes. Until 2020 (pandemic), most Canadians would have proudly & quickly said Canada is a great place. For multiple generations (young & old). It still is in many ways. But like all countries, a bunch of things have made life more difficult lately. During the COVID lockdowns, many people went wild wanting to buy a house (urban & rural). Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates to rise. Rental costs soared too. Simultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum skyrocketed. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) 395 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED!!! In 2023 alone, averaging 2,000 per day across Canada. MASS immigration desires/demands have been hard on everyone, not just migrators. The majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus all Canadians now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. Flocking to a education system that was not designed to be all about every international student wanting a permanent ability to be in Canada. With most also wanting to bring family over too. All Canadians know what's truly going on now because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To most Canadians it has felt like a huge tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. A situation that never existed 5 years ago. Hospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare, creating greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways never seen in people's lifetimes. Now westerners want the money greedy agents in other countries to stop MARKETING & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … in places like Canada being relatively easy (to get). And for any people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're getting greedy too. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). Not all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada asked India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE colleges are really being investigated now (including looking for strong oversea ties). Canadians are meeting students who showed Canada they have enough $ to live in Canada, but it turns out they borrowed it (without being able to spend it). Canadian food banks and other charity services have been recklessly advertised on UA-cam (by Indian students in India language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes (registered in your name) are now never replaced (unlike b4). Due to 2 or 3 students falsely using one pass. Canadian homes are being purchased or used to put multiple 'students-only' in them, as more and more local Canadians become homeless. Then this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada. Certain diasporas are stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) … even though it all stems from their ancestral home. How can peace be found anywhere with this in play? Plus the Canadian government recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Canadians are so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA). Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is very happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations). Including multi-generational long-term Asian-Canadians where many have been the most upset (by all of this). Now there is a net zero approach. One international student can only enter Canada if one or more leave. PS Canadians are aware that some WONDERFUL students are going through hell. And we know Canada is partially to blame. This hurts our hearts. But bottom-line, Canada decides what needs to be done in Canada. Do you see Canadians protesting in other countries (that is not their own) making demands for themselves? No. Do Canadians see people from other countries protesting in Canada, making demands (due to IRCC pumping it's immigration brakes because it has to)? Yes. If 36,000,000 Canadians travelled to India, since 2020, with the primary goal of being able to stay there permanently, that would raise their population by 2.65%. International students after PR (using the back door) raised Canada's population 2.65%. Changes are occurring in 2024, for HUGE reasons.
Definitely changes are a big part of this year
Very well said. Thanks for taking the time to put this down. More people need to read this.
Very good post! Totally agreed to every point. I am an Indian and a Canadian permanent resident and I know what's happening in India right now. One religion (78%) wants the other religion (18%) completely thrown out of the country since they believe them to be the reason of increased population and decreased jobs.
In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world. There are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions, welfare, unemployment benefits, disability benefits and the numerous other programs, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia. Multiculturalism destroys the fabric and identity of a country. Socialism bankrupts a country.
